Prolific game developer WayForward has revealed via Twitter that it will soon be releasing Marble Knights, an adventure puzzle game, exclusively on Apple Arcade. An exact release date has not yet been announced. With the help of Orbin, Marabelle, and other Knights of the Round, players of the fantasy-based game will be tasked with protecting King Rolland and his Kingdom of Roundingham from the requisite bad guy, Lord Terroball. As the description implies, WayForward’s Marble Knights is centered around spheres, and up to four players will use orb-based powers along with sword play to take out enemies and solve a variety of puzzles....

PlayStation has now sold more PS4 games than it did PS2 titles, even though the newer console has sold 40 million fewer units. Sony has published its report for the last financial year, and it’s pretty much all positive for PlayStation. It has sold 7.8 million PS5s so far, achieving its goal of outdoing what the PS4 managed to sell during its first fiscal year. It wasn’t all bad news for the PS4, though....

Zack Snyder, the director of the new version of Justice League, really can’t help himself when it comes to teasing his latest project. Recently he took to Vero, which is apparently some kind of social media platform, to break down the latest trailer for the project, and tease some new information. The big news around Suicide Squad right now is the movie, seeing as the latest trailer dropped last Friday. The identities of the Pokémon that will be returning to the Galar region in The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword & Shield may have been revealed by a fan online. Pokémon Sword & Shield came under fire before launch when it was revealed that they wouldn’t feature every Pokémon from the history of the series. The Galar region is missing several hundred Pokémon, including some of the Generation 1 Pokémon that have been in the series since the days of Pokémon Red & Blue....

Yesterday, Toronto Defiant’s Kellex announced his retirement from the Overwatch League. This news comes just days before the Defiant face off against a strong Los Angeles Gladiators team for the first time this season. Trials of Mana is a remake of Seiken Densetsu 3, which was originally released for the Super Nintendo and never left Japan until it was released as part of the Collection of Mana on Nintendo Switch in 2019. A Trials of Mana demo is now available on PS4 and there are a lot of changes between the remake and the base game. Trials of Mana uses the same story and scenario of the Super Nintendo original, but the remake has a ton of changes and additional content, making it feel like a brand new experience....

Twitch might be testing private, subscriber-only streams to see how they work out. Currently, Twitch allows anyone to view any channel they want, whenever they want. Viewers won’t get nearly as many features as subscribers, such as being able to “cheer” on the streamer or keep track of various channels, but by and large, the site works very similarly to YouTube. That might be about to change. A new system being tested would prevent non-subscribers from viewing a channel and instead show them a short preview of what they’re missing....

5,000 families in Atlanta, Georgia have something extra to be thankful for this year thanks to Tyler Perry. Perry’s studio, the aptly named Tyler Perry Studios, announced over Twitter that they would be giving away non-perishable food items and gift cards to the first 5,000 families in need who arrived at the event. The poster for the event read: “First come, first serve of 5,000 families while supplies last. Although we wish that we could feed everyone in need we will close the line at the 5,000th family....

When you’re playing the Ubisoft games of next-gen, you’ll be able to take your progression to any platform. Ubisoft revealed that its new service, Ubisoft Connect, supports cross-progression for all platforms and services for many of its big upcoming games. Ubisoft Connect was announced today and has a launch date of October 29. The service requires a Ubisoft account, and acts as a sort of social media/online portal for Ubisoft games on all platforms....

The UK government is starting to take action against scalper groups reselling PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. A petition on the UK parliament website has received over 15,000 signatures, resulting in a response from the government’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. The petition, which requests a ban on the resale of goods at overblown prices, states, “I believe it to be an unfair and unjust practice that well-funded groups/individuals can deplete the stock of a single item and make it unaffordable/unavailable to the average consumer....

The Uncharted film is moving forward once more with a “totally rad” new director, so to speak. Dan Trachtenberg, director of 10 Cloverfield Lane and co-host of The Totally Rad Show podcast, will now head the adaptation of Sony’s popular first-party franchise. Trachtenberg is an avid fan of video games and all around nerd, which is certain to bring a new level of faith to fans of Uncharted frustrated with the film’s choppy production up to this point....
