Act 3 of Riot Games’ free-to-play multiplayer first-person tactical title Valorant has been launched with patch 1.10, which adds a number of new features and a few quality-of-life changes to the game. Valorant players now have access to a new map called Icebox, which has been released ahead of schedule and is therefore considered to still be in a beta state. This means that competitive players won’t be able to earn new ranks on the map until October 27....

Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy is one of those beloved book franchises that should have gotten a TV series adaptation at least five years ago. Warrior, the martial-arts-teeming Cinemax crime series inspired by the story notes of Bruce Lee, is heralding its October return with an action-packed full trailer. Created by executive producer Jonathan Tropper (co-creator of Cinemax’s Banshee), Warrior premiered on Cinemax on April 5, 2019, and kicked off a 10-episode inaugural season that wrapped its run on the following June 7. The series provided an effective combination of historically-based (albeit contemporarily-stylized) crime drama akin to Peaky Blinders (on which star Andrew Koji fielded a duo of appearances,) with an action-packed, Bruce Lee-channeling martial arts component that resonated with viewers, resulting in a quick second season renewal for another 10-episode set....

The Outer Worlds, the sci-fi action RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, launched for PC, PS4, and Xbox One back in October 2019. A few months before release, the developers revealed that The Outer Worlds would also be coming to the Nintendo Switch, though a launch date wasn’t announced until the beginning of 2020. Resident Evil has always been a popular franchise and cash cow for publisher Capcom, and now it appears to have now joined the prestigious 100 million club. In a pair of reports posted to Capcom’s Investor Relations website, the recent Resident Evil 3 remake has shipped an impressive 2 million copies over the first five days of its release to push the franchise past the milestone marker.
