Director Frank Darabont’s 1999 film version of Stephen King’s The Green Mile, which is out this week for the first time on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, remains a popular but somewhat divisive entry in the King cinematic canon. The picture was Darabont’s follow-up to another King adaptation, 1994’s The Shawshank Redemption, with Green Mile adapting a serialized novel King released in six paperback installments over six months in 1996. The tale is set on death row (called “the green mile” because of the flooring) at a Louisiana prison in the 1930s where officer Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) and his team encounter a new inmate, a Black man of tremendous physical size and seemingly childlike mental acumen (Michael Clarke Duncan), who is accused of the vicious murder of two small white girls....

Last Friday was a long day. A very long day that extended into the wee hours of Saturday morning. You see, I happened to be one of the 2,000 lucky few who managed to snag one of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Warehouse Demo codes having ordered the “Tony Hawk Burrito” for delivery from Chipotle earlier in the week. Update: Bungie CEO Pete Parsons recently took to Twitter in order to publicly deny claims that Microsoft has attempted to buy the company several times over the last few years, but Bungie’s asking price was too high. The Steam weekly sales charts, as measured by revenue and not overall unit sales, has seen another shake-up. After several weeks of Rust dominating the chart to start off 2021, new indie game releases have shifted things dramatically. Last week saw the Chinese space expansion game Dyson Sphere Program take the lead, and this week the Early Access release of Valheim, a new cooperative multiplayer survival game, is in high demand....
Valorant, Riot Games online multiplayer shooter, is being built with its future in mind. An example of that is the game’s “Blood Toggle,” which allows Valorant’s in-game gore to be turned off. Riot states that this is an option designed for accessibility, but Riot’s not denying that it’s also key to Valorant’s esports aspirations. In Riot’s newly published competitive guidelines, it states that all organizers for Valorant leagues and tournaments must toggle off blood for their events....

The latest episode of WandaVision dropped a big reveal about one of its major characters.
