It’s a fantastic story about Momo and Fine, a human/vampire duo escaping the brutal war between their species. Set in the remnants of an unnamed but unmistakably post-Soviet country, their journey is as much about the horrors of war as it is about the beauty of music....

Announced in a recent This Week at Bungie blog post, the Vault of Glass raid from the original Destiny finally has a set release date for Destiny 2. The raid launches on May 22 at 10 AM PDT. Contest Mode will be enabled for this raid for the first 24 hours, setting everyone’s Power level to 20 below the encounter. Guardians will need to have a Power level of 1,300 or higher to be at the cap for every encounter....

Belgian indie video game developer and publisher Warcave recently announced its second project, Black Legend. Black Legend is a dark, immersive, turn-based strategy free-exploration RPG set in the 17th-century, and is scheduled to be released in early 2021 for PC, Playstation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and the Nintendo Switch. Black Legend will feature a 17th-century aesthetic as was historically displayed in Belgium and the Netherlands areas, and is inspired and influenced by the folklore of that time and place....

A new leak about Watch Dogs 3 reveals details about the game’s main character as well as the gameplay features weeks ahead of Ubisoft’s rumored announcement of the game. Ubisoft is expected to announce Watch Dogs 3 at E3 2019 and that the game will be a major part of its annual E3 press conference. A Watch Dogs 3 leak details several things about the rumored upcoming sequel. The anonymous leaker claims that Watch Dogs 3 will be set in London and players will be taking on the role of a woman named Sarah....

Today’s PS5 showcase is set to finally disclose the price and release date for the highly-anticipated PlayStation 5 — and you can tune in to the official livestream right here. Earlier this week, it was announced that Sony would officially unveil the PS5 price and release date today, September 16, via a livestreamed event. More recently, it was revealed that the company will purportedly be opening PS5 pre-orders immediately after the showcase concludes — so if you’re planning on picking up a PlayStation 5, this is an event you won’t want to miss....

In perhaps the funniest episode of Star Trek: The Original Series (sorry “Trouble With Tribbles”!) Captain Kirk boldly strides on a pool table, decked out in a blue pinstripe suit, and says, in a tortured faux Al Capone-accent, “the Federation is taking over the whole ball of wax.” He’s talking about the planet Sigma Iotia II, better known to Trekkies as “the mobster planet.” “A Piece of the Action” imagines a planet entirely run by ‘20s and ‘30s style mobsters, and now, it seems this slightly obscure Trek concept is about to make a big comeback....

The fantasy genre is easily one of the most popular and beloved genres around, with most of the popular titles that come under this bracket being amazing due to the incredible world-building, well-realized cast of characters, and an enthralling story that keeps fans hooked at every step of the way. It’s this excellence in all three aspects that has allowed The Witcher to stand on its own two feet as one of the greatest fantasy series of all time, and this success is in no small part due to the quality of the video games that CD Projekt Red released to widespread critical and commercial success....

CD Projekt RED was on to something when they decided to axe Yennefer completely and then replace her with Triss as Geralt’s primary romantic interest in the first Witcher game. Now they have a fanbase perpetually at war with its other half regarding which sorceress to live happily ever after with for Geralt. Truth be told, they did take some liberties with Triss and made her a more tolerable and more respectable character....

Although many are indubitably excited to see The Witcher come to Netflix, several have also voiced concerns about some of the casting decisions, especially when it was revealed that the show was looking for a minority actress to play Ciri (with Freya Allan ultimately receiving the role). Whatever the case, these concerns forced the showrunner Lauren Hissrich to leave social media, only returning in spurts to discuss negative remarks as a writer or to reveal small details....

Overwatch moon map Horizon Lunar Colony was released last week on the game’s PTR (Public Test Region). Players are already coming up with fiendishly brilliant strategies to make the most of the new location. YouTuber Muselk, who created the Overwatch “Hide and Seek” mode, has been testing out the Horizon Lunar Colony map. Muselk is known for coming up with silly strategies but some of those explored in the video below could actually prove quite useful to the average Overwatch player....

One of the features that defined the Pokemon franchise was inspired by an annoying monster from Dragon Quest 2, as it had a ridiculously low drop rate for a magic item. The appeal of the Pokemon franchise is deeply rooted in its social elements. The series wouldn’t have been anywhere near as popular if it weren’t for the ability to battle or trade Pokemon with your friends. The need to seek out other players to complete the Pokedex meant that kids got to socialize with each other....

Rockstar is keeping fans occupied with a host of things to do in GTAV Online this week that should appeal to many player. The biggest news on their site is the GTA$ Gift promotion, for the entire month of April any player jumping into the game will get $500k deposited into their Maze Bank account. That’s a hefty amount of cash for players to buy a cheap fast car and quickly level up to enjoy the game....

There’s a lot going on in Monster Hunter World, thanks to a number of month long events to keep players engaged and give out fantastic rewards for the best hunters. Fans of Quantic Dream, the studio behind games like Detroit: Become Human, Beyond: Two Souls, and Heavy Rain, will be glad to know that their goal to go multiplatform is taking a big leap today. For those who might not know, Quantic Dream partnered with NetEase almost a year ago in order to help them achieve this goal. The Chinese online tech company NetEase acquired a minority stake in Quantic Dream back in January of 2019, helping the publisher break exclusivity with Sony and go multiplatform....

Flying under the radar is the nearing launch of a sequel to a strikingly popular ARPG franchise. Torchlight 3 releases in just two days, reintroducing players to the fantasy/steampunk setting of the Ember Empire. Many notable Twitch bans have made headlines in 2020 with the case of Nairoby “Nairo” Quezada being the most recent case. Quezada is known within the competitive Super Smash Bros. community as a veteran champion, however his legacy has changed after admitting to a crime he had committed. Two months ago, Quezada admitted to having sex with an underage Smash player back in 2017 after allegations against him were made. This led to Quezada being dropped by his sponsor and being banned from multiple tournaments, cutting him off from competitive play....
