Black Panther: Wakanda Forever just had the biggest November opening weekend in box office history. Granted, as soon as the sequel to 2018’s game-changing superhero movie was announced by Marvel Studios to be a Thanksgiving-adjacent release, that milestone seemed almost a foregone conclusion. Nevertheless, it still was pretty remarkable when Black Panther 2 officially clocked in at $181 million on Monday morning, blowing away previous record holder Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which opened to $158 million in 2013....

Ever since the 45th president of the United States signed an executive order which would ban TikTok’s parent company ByteDance from operating within the country, the internet has been abuzz with speculation on the future of the social media app. Walmart released a statement to CNBC today that it intends to partner up with Microsoft in a joint bid to acquire the app. Unless Beijing-based ByteDance sells Tiktok and all its operations in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to a non-Chinese company, the app will disappear from US markets on September 21st....

After a year in Verdansk, Warzone players have spent plenty of time in the gulag. Adding the gulag to Warzone was an innovative feature never before seen in a battle royale game. Players always have a semblance of hope after getting killed in Warzone because they know they can still win the gulag and come back to win the match. New gulags aside, over the past 7 seasons there have been some frustrating weapons players were forced to use in the gulag....

The latest Warzone update adds the “Most Wanted” contract to the game, which will allow players to redeploy their entire team. There was a time in the battle royale genre where a fallen player stayed fallen. At least until they fired up another match and had another go. Apex Legends was the first title to really challenge what had become a stereotype of the genre via its respawn beacons. This gave players a way to revive their fallen teammates and give them a second chance at glory....

The Washington Justice faced a tumultuous 2020 Overwatch League season. They were plagued early on with key player retirements and spent the rest of the season towards the bottom of the pack. Heading into the season playoffs, though, the Justice caught some fire, largely due to signing star DPS player Gui-un “Decay” Jang after he parted ways with the Dallas Fuel. He helped lead a late resurgence for Washington and hopes they would be able to secure him heading into 2021 have been answered....

As Magic: the Gathering is dispelled by emergency bans, Dungeons & Dragons is debating Darwinism, and Warhammer stores are battling to reopen, maybe it’s time to reexamine this Lovecraftian disaster of a game with a clear third eye. Dreamblade is a fast-paced Night Fusion of chess and Magic with the tactics of Go and the extravagance of Battletech, in which a pair of psychics wage war to conquer the dreamscape and bend reality to their will....

Watch Dogs Legion’s online multiplayer mode will release in just a few weeks, on March 9. Although it’s a big deal for Watch Dogs Legion’s immediate future, Ubisoft’s long term goals for the game mode are a bit of a mystery. This seems like something that Ubisoft could either add to only modestly or expand constantly with huge regular updates. The latter seems like the more profitable avenue, so it may just be what Ubisoft settles on....

Tom Holland teams up once again with Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo in the upcoming film Cherry. Apple TV Plus dropped the first teaser for Cherry, which shows Tom Holland playing a character that is very different from Peter Parker. Cherry is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Nico Walker, which follows a young man who joins the army and later becomes a drug addict and bank robber when he returns home during the opioid epidemic....

This post contains spoilers for The Sandman Season One In some ways, the Netflix adaptation of The Sandman is not too different from other popular television shows. It told a satisfying story across its first season, one that saw Morpheus aka Dream (Tom Sturridge) stop renegade nightmare the Corinthian (Boyd Holbrook) and deal with living dream vortex Rose Walker (Kyo Ra). Along the way, it laid the groundwork for future storylines, including the division between Dream and his sibling Desire (Mason Alexander Park) and a rivalry with Lucifer (Gwendoline Christie), ruler of Hell....

This is thanks to the recent release of the Star Wars: Journey to Batuu expansion. With new content being added to this Sims 4 expansion, there are also brand new cheat codes that can be inputted to change up the game experience. These cheats have effects that range from unlimited Galactic credits to changing faction reputation levels at will....

The Sopranos changed the entire TV landscape when it debuted on HBO. Living in the shadow, and sometimes under the thumb of New York’s commission of five families, Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) led what his friends across the river considered a glorified crew through a violent change of power. David Chase envisioned the series about the rise and fall of a New Jersey mobster as a dark comedy, and indeed, even some of the mob ordered executions could be seen as great examples of physical comedy just as much as others are grisly reminders of day to day life as a working member of a mafia crew....

The Pokemon series has developed a reputation for inconsistency over the years. Game Freak always does a tremendous job of offering new and exciting creatures for players to catch and train. That’s not to say that there are never any duds. Every rule has its exceptions.
