When Warrior premiered in April of last year, Cinemax knew they had a hit right away. Helmed by Fast & Furious director Justin Lin and Banshee co-creator Jonathan Tropper, Warrior was renewed for a second season after just three episodes. “Warrior comes from the pitch Bruce Lee brought to Warner Brothers,” Tropper says, the writer of the show. “It was an eight page treatment Bruce Lee had written that Shannon [Lee] held onto, and that was where the initial ideas for this show come from....

As part of the ongoing Summer Game Fest events, Bungie is pulling the curtain back on what’s next for Destiny 2. The big Destiny 2 reveal is expected to show off the game’s “next chapter,” giving fans of the looter-shooter an idea of what to expect from upcoming new content, including Season 11 and the next major expansion. Some details have already leaked online for the Destiny 2 expansion. Assuming they’re correct, the Destiny 2 expansion will launch on September 22, and it will increase the required hard drive space for Destiny 2 to 105GB....

Green Ronin Publishing recently announced the publication of its newest Chronicle System fantasy tabletop roleplaying game Sword Chronicle: Feudal Fantasy Roleplaying. For passionate builders and creative decorators, The Sims 4 is a dream come true. Although its gameplay can be a bit lackluster and boring at times, at least it’s one of the best games in the series when it comes to all the different designs and details that creators can implement while in build mode. There’s also a whole host of pre-made houses in the game for those who feel intimidated by building, but let’s be honest — Maxis isn’t exactly famous for having great builds....

With The Velvet Underground, director Todd Haynes effectively evokes the Andy Warhol Factory’s experimental celluloid renderings, and captures both why Warhol was so taken by the band, and the reason the Velvet Underground were not made for factory settings. Both Lou Reed and John Cage are renowned as antagonistic agitators, and the band had nothing but disdain for much of their contemporaries. A new mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks to make an already great looking game look even better and PC players can look forward to it launching on September 19th on NexusMods. Despite it releasing in 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, still holds up visually to newer console games releasing in 2020. That being said, a new console generation looms and CD Projekt RED’s next open world epic, Cyberpunk 2077, is aiming to set a benchmark with its breathtaking visuals and attention to detail....

The next generation of Pokémon games has finally been announced: Pokémon Sword & Shield will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2019. The trailer for Pokémon Sword & Shield showed a brand new region called Galar, which appears to be based on the United Kingdom. Atlus has just released Persona 5 Strikers, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Persona 5, but it mixes up the format of the game by losing the turn-based battles and other features, instead opting for an action-RPG style. This makes Strikers new ground for both players new to the franchise and longtime Persona fans. As you start out on your new journey with the Phantom Thieves, there will be lots to learn and plenty of content that you can accidentally miss out on....

Destiny 2’s pinacle PVP activity Trials Of Osiris has been canceled this weekend thanks to a bug that prevents players from accessing the Lighthouse. Bungie announced via their Twitter page that Trials has been disabled for the remainder of the weekend and will remain unavailable until the bug can be fixed, suggesting that it’s possible Trials may be taking more than a 1-week hiatus. Players that visit Saint-14 to pick up their Trials Passage may find that the store is filled with bounties that can’t be claimed, or they mind find that Saint has nothing available to purchase....

The Netflix docuseries Tiger King has taken off in a huge way, so much so that it has begun showing up all over the place. From its own Honest Trailer to serving as the inspiration for the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare bundle, Tiger King is everywhere right now. This is not exactly the first Netflix series that has seriously exploded in popularity, but it has been a while since one has accrued such a huge viewer base this fast....

It’s been nearly five years since the release of Titanfall 2 and fans have been yearning for a Titanfall 3 for years. And both EA and developer Respawn are fully aware of it. But while they have acknowledged the demand, Respawn seems entirely focused on its battle-royale game Apex Legends, which recently began its eighth season and celebrated its second anniversary. With how popular and successful Apex Legends is, it’s easy to assume that EA is ensuring that Respawn focuses all its efforts on it and not get side-tracked with another project, but that apparently isn’t exactly the case....

Lately, a good portion of the news that is coming from Twitch is nothing but drama, and today is no different. Twitch is currently under fire on social media for posting a video that showcases how Twitch streamers came together in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. While Twitch’s intentions were good, the video came off as very tone-deaf. The entire world has banded together following the murder of George Floyd on May 25th....

Twitch Rivals is a tournament series, owned by Twitch and hosted on their own platform, aimed to unite streamers and influential broadcasters in competition. In the past, games such as League of Legends, Valorant, Fortnite, and FIFA 21 have been routinely featured on Twitch Rivals. Trending titles on the other end of the esports spectrum including Among Us and, recently, Fall Guys have also made appearances on Twitch Rivals. Occasionally, there are games featured on Twitch Rivals that break the normalcy....

Ubisoft has made a pediatrician who happens to be a pedophile a playable recruit in Watch Dogs: Legion as part of what we can only assume is an embarrassing developmental gaffe. The game, which released on October 29 and has served up overheating problems on the Xbox One, employs a new recruiting system that allows players to make just about anyone a playable hacker. Character recruitment is one of the title’s biggest presentations and users can basically welcome any randomly generated character into protagonist faction DeadSec....

The NPD Group releases its monthly report on gaming sales, revealing that Uncharted 4 was the best selling game in May, outperforming all other new releases. May was a great month for gamers with plenty of fresh and exciting titles, and the industry is reaping the benefits, too. A new report reveals that the overall sales of video games went up in May, and Uncharted 4 had all of them beat....

2021 is now in full swing, and film distributors are beginning to feel out what the new normal actually is. Given the latest news about COVID variants, movie theaters remain a tenuous bet—although some films are still releasing there—while streaming at home becomes evermore enticing with one of Warner Bros.’ Oscar contenders set to premiere simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max. This month also marks the theatrical and/or streaming release of some of last year’s best films....

The United States’ military forces will continue using mediums like Twitch for recruitment purposes after a proposed bill to have them stop attempts to attract potential servicemen/women got thrown out. The U.S Army has been using Twitch and other esports avenues to recruit soldiers for a few years now. Per Military.com, the Army was able to attract 3,500 recruitment leads through esports in the previous fiscal year. Over 13,000 persons have been recruited similarly in the current fiscal year....

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 developer Hardsuit Labs, Inc. revealed via Twitter that the game has been delayed until 2021. The statement doesn’t reveal much beyond the relatively familiar line of the developers needing more time to get the game right. It’s actually somewhat interesting that the statement references the team’s desire to live up to the legacy of the original considering that the original Bloodlines was a notoriously buggy and rushed game that was eventually improved over the years largely thanks to the help of some fan-made mods and patches....
