The Witcher film will be based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s short stories about Geralt’s adventures, primarily focusing on The Witcher and The Lesser Evil tales....

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick explains why big name game franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption aren’t annual titles despite their popularity. As of August 2015, Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold over 54 million copies, with Rockstar Games’ West Coast-based sandbox proving to be phenomenally popular with gamers on all platforms. Meanwhile, the developer’s Wild West adventure Red Dead Redemption may have been released over five and a half years ago (and only on two platforms; PS3 and Xbox 360) but the game is still a serious seller, and at last count Red Dead had shipped 14 million copies....

A recent product listing on retail website Game reveals the potential launch window for EA and Respawn Entertainment’s highly anticipated shooter, Titanfall 2. The Titanfall fan base has been whipped into a flurry of activity recently after a very short teaser trailer arrived last week for the upcoming sequel with hints at some new and exciting features. Even though Titanfall 2 has been public knowledge for a while now and with information starting to trickle out, fans have started to wonder when the latest game may finally arrive....

A job listing for a Senior Level Designer confirms that Titanfall developer, Respawn Entertainment, is working on a second non-Titanfall action/adventure style game. Based on a new job listing, it appears that Respawn Entertainment is planning on taking on a second project while development continues on Titanfall 2. The posting confirms that the studio is now hiring designers specifically for two game development projects: one set in the Titanfall universe and the other being a new 3rd person action/adventure IP....

If you aren’t familiar with the Dwemer or need a refresher, they are an ancient, lost race in the Elder Scrolls universe. “Dwemer” is roughly translated as “People of the Deep.” The Dwemer are a hot topic in The Elder Scrolls because they’re surrounded by a fascinating mystery that we’ve yet to find any explanation for. Trials of Mana is going to be remade into a modern 3D action RPG for PC as well as PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The first Trials of Mana was released on the SNES way back in 1995. Known as Seiken Densetsu 3 in Japan, it was the third entry into the Mana series and was the sequel to the wildly popular Secret of Mana. Strangely, the first game was called Final Fantasy Adventure in an attempt to play off the popularity of the Final Fantasy series in North America (in much the same way as Final Fantasy Tactics or Crystal Chronicles did)....

But the road to that billion dollar buyout wasn’t without its stumbles. Just a few months ago Twitch instated a new audio policy in which archived streams featuring unauthorized music would be muted for half an hour, while the ‘Save Forever’ archiving option was cut down to just ‘Save for Two Weeks’. Although this disgruntled users, Twitch made the move to deter lawsuits and cut server costs (according to them, most archived content is never viewed again) and remove two thorns from their side in the process....

Less than a week after its release, sales for Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End are up 66% from its predecessor, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Although Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a platform-exclusive for the PlayStation 4, the action-adventure title from Naughty Dog has managed to debut on the top spot on the UK sales charts across all formats after its release last Tuesday. Not to mention, the fans’ interest in what is purportedly the last game in the series has allowed its sales to reflect a 66% increase from the first week of availability for its precursor in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception....

You can already get Xbox Game Pass on PC, which despite the name, will provide subscribers with access to hundreds of Windows PC titles. Xbox Games head Phil Spencer has made it clear in the past that he wants Game Pass to be the subscription service not for just Xbox owners, but PC games as well. Spencer has already managed to snag EA for Game Pass on both Xbox and PC, and now it seems like his next target is even bigger: Valve....

Finding the sweet spot for game length is something of a conundrum for developers—too short, and players won’t feel they got their money’s worth (particularly for AAA prices), too long and interest might peter off unless it’s fun, fresh, and engaging from start to finish. It’s the second part that’s hard, especially when considering different gaming demographics and tastes. For younger players with time to kill, a game length of over a hundred hours might be perfect....

After a lot of waiting and many delays, Phase 4 of the MCU is finally underway with the release of their first Disney+ series, WandaVision. However, this series kicking off Phase 4 was not the original plan at all. Due to the many delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic, projects like Black Widow, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Eternals were pushed back while WandaVision’s fast post-production allowed it to move to the front of the line....

Bethesda may be newer to the world of big E3 press conferences, but in the last few years the company has developed a reputation of putting on a late evening show with some major announcements and reveals. The 2018 E3 press conference schedule suggests that Bethesda will stick to that trend this year. Bethesda has already stoked the fires with teaser trailers for both Rage 2 and Fallout 76....

A few months ago, we learned that Warner Bros. executives considered Zack Snyder’s Justice League to be a cul-de-sac. Which is to say, it’s a road to nowhere that will leave the DC Extended Universe exactly where it started. That opinion apparently is shared throughout WarnerMedia despite the apparent success of the newly released Snyder Cut. In fact, WarnerMedia CEO Ann Sarnoff is ready to stop now any possible rumors about director David Ayer getting to oversee his own cut of 2016’s Suicide Squad....

Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance is currently in the works, set to release later in 2021. Fans don’t know much about it yet, save that it stars Drizzt Do’Urden and company, but surely some of the greatest (and strangest) DnD 5e monsters will make an appearance. After all, Dungeons and Dragons is known in part for its abundance of fantastic beasts and ferocious monsters. So, it seems to be a good time to look at some of the weirder Dungeons and Dragons monsters that could (and should) make an appearance in Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance....
