It’s been 10 years since Ubisoft has released a main series Prince of Persia game with The Forgotten Sands, but it seems like a new entry in the long-running franchise may finally be on the way. Ubisoft has recently registered a domain name for the unannounced Prince of Persia 6, fueling speculation that the celebrated action/platformer series will finally be making its long-awaited comeback. With an influx of games requiring increasingly large file sizes, many console users are struggling to find space for all their games. Scars Above plonks you in the shoes of some interplanetary explorer who’s tasked with researching aliens on a hostile planet. Publisher Prime Matter describes it as “Alice in Wonderland meets Alien.” Of course, this is a video game so you’re going to want to shoot those aliens first. No point in researching a living alien, don’t be stupid. No, you’re gonna shoot the crap out of them with a +1 rifle you just found in a box first....

Vikings are still definitely in, according to Valheim’s sales volume. After releasing on Steam Early Access last week, the co-operative open-world survival game has risen to the very top of the Steam sales list, which measures total revenue generated for any given game. Valheim has even beat-out the recently released Nio 2: Complete Edition and older standbys like Xcom 2 and Rust. It’s not just dollars that Valheim is generating. The game hit fifth in Steam’s overall concurrent player count today, beating out juggernauts like Team Fortress 2, PUBG, and Rocket League....

VALORANT developers have teased the possibility of a new deathmatch mode alongside announcing Spike Rush, a game mode best described as VALORANT’s usual bomb defense turned up to 100. VALORANT’s beta players have been vocal about wanting an official deathmatch mode to be added to the game. While it’s not yet officially in the works, the developers have made a note of the player base’s interest and stated that they’re looking into implementing a deathmatch mode at some point in the future....

The next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will finally begin in earnest early next year as Marvel Studios have announced Wandavision will be dropping on Jan 15, 2021. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the Disney+ original will see Marvel’s power couple living a life of vintage sitcom bliss, at least until they discover all is not what it appears. The seeds for the trippy looking show were sown by the 2016 miniseries The Vision written by Tom King and illustrated by Gabriel Hernandez Walta which saw Marvel’s android hero creating a white picket fence suburban family life of his very own....

Ubisoft disables Watch Dogs 2’s seamless multiplayer mode one day before release while it waits for a patch fixing multiple issues with the game to pass certification. Watch Dogs 2 is set to officially launch tomorrow on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but early copies have already gotten out, with plenty of gamers streaming the title on Twitch. Early feedback seems to be mostly positive except for one glaring exception: Watch Dogs 2’s broken online multiplayer mode....

Ubisoft’s had a tough run at things in the last year, with a couple controversial releases last fall that haven’t fared well for the publisher. After some serious release restructuring, the publisher is back on track and preparing for its next big release this fall: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The Dark Knight not so much glided back onto cinema screens in 2012 as he hobbled across them. With a scraggly, unkempt beard and a bathrobe acting as his cape, Bruce Wayne appeared more like how one imagines Christian Bale exists between gigs than Batman at the start of The Dark Knight Rises. He appeared like an invalid whose great adventures were behind him. Xbox Game Pass for PC will release seven new games this month, including former Nintendo Switch exclusive The Touryst, by Fast RMX and Nano Assault devs Shin’en, which will make its PC debut on July 30. The Touryst, first released last November uses a custom engine created by Shin’en that provides high-fidelity graphical effects while keeping a smooth framerate. The game was selected as one of the four most loved eShop games of 2019....

The stunning world of The Witcher 3 is full of enticing and relatable characters that help make the overall story so intoxicating. The third Witcher game does an incredible job of introducing and developing unique characters that Geralt gets to meet and develop relationships with, and there’s a heavy emphasis on him making romantic relationships. Besides the plot-heavy romances with Triss and Yennefer, there are plenty of other women throughout the game that can steal Geralt’s heart (and body)....

Back in 2019, Final Fantasy 14 director and producer Naoki Yoshida was asked by Easy Allies if he’d consider creating a classic version of the MMO (à la World of Warcraft Classic) based on FF14’s disastrous 1.0 version. Season 7 of PUBG looks to be right around the corner and launching on April 22. The biggest part of the new season is bound to be the introduction of an overhauled Vikendi map. Players can expect to see new moving trains and a dinosaur park called Dinoland. The snow on the level will also be reduced but in a way that looks as though it has partially melted, and still leaving some snow throughout the map....
