The long string of game delays that happened as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over. In a post on the game’s official Twitter account today, WB Games has confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy will not be released in 2021. Instead, the game has been pushed to an unspecified date in 2022 so that the team may create the best possible experience it can. The Godzilla Vs Kong trailer only shows about four seconds of the upcoming monster movie, but I have to admit it’s got me hyped to see my favorite lizard boy back on the big screen. The Legendary movies haven’t really captured the true essence of Godzilla, but seeing those two giant monsters throw haymakers at each other is already enough to win me over. As studios like MachineGames and IO Interactive bring legitimacy back to licensed video games with Indiana Jones and 007, respectively, the door has been opened for more movie franchises to get the AAA game treatment....

It’s been a particularly rough year for the Taipei Game Show. Normally held in early February, officials running the convention made a last-minute call in late January to postpone the event to the summer. Scheduled for a June gathering, it seems concerns over the coronavirus pandemic haven’t been quelled enough. The indie event has now been 100% canceled for this year. Recently, Twitch announced that it would changing its Terms of Service, mostly the “Hateful Speech” category. It announced that terms such as “simp,” “incel,” and “virgin” could now be against Twitch’s TOS, and it became a talking point in chats across the platform. Twitch’s update to the Hateful Speech TOS section is mostly about intent; if someone uses slurs, misogynistic terms, or any negative terms about someone’s sexual orientation or background, those users can be banned....

Being a professional Smash Bros. player and Twitch streamer is all fun and games until you have one too many adult beverages during a livestream. Twitch streamer Mango, one of Super Smash Bros.
