Simmers have been requesting farming features in The Sims 4 for a long time now, and some of the most recent Packs have been hinting that it’s finally coming (that toddler tent in Dream Home Decorator, anyone?). And it is! The Sims 4: Cottage Living is The Sims 4’s newest Expansion Pack, set to release on July 22nd, 2021. This is huge news for the Simming community. But, DLC can be expensive, and some players may not want to drop that much money to snag the pack on release day....

It feels like we’ve been here before. A C-list DC Comics villain has been brought to life by a major Hollywood talent—Idris Elba as Bloodsport in this case—only to be saddled in a seemingly generic scene with the character’s adolescent daughter. When we saw a variation of this cliché in the first Suicide Squad movie, it stood in for barebones character development; a familiar story beat which allowed Will Smith’s Deadshot to prove he really just wants to make his little girl proud....

Skyrim is quickly approaching its ten year anniversary, but with almost no news from Bethesda about The Elder Scrolls 6 since its trailer was released in 2018, many fans still find themselves returning to the game to try and capture the magic of playing it for the first time. News broke earlier today that Telltale Games suddenly laid off the majority of its staff in preparation to abruptly shut down the game development studio. The question left hanging was what this would mean for The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which has only released one out of four of its planned episodes as of yet. Now it appears that fans of Clementine’s adventure will never see the end of it....

When it was revealed that Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead would have its final season release sometime this year, fans of the episodic video game based on Robert Kirkman’s comic universe were largely ecstatic. After all, the last season ended on a cliffhanger, as Clementine began her search for AJ. Now at this past weekend’s PAX East, details about The Walking Dead: The Final Season have been revealed, with a clip of the game’s tech demo leaking online....

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still an undeniably popular and celebrated game, even more so since the Netflix tv show aired. This week in CS:GO sees team Astralis officially signing Jakob “JUGi” Hansen as their seventh players for the roster, with the end goal being two players for each role in the team. Astralis describes the acquisition as is commitment to creating, “the most competitive and healthy environment for the players.” In other news, FaZe Banks has admitted to having owned and run CSGO Wild, a gambling site for in-game skins. During a recent podcast, Banks claimed that running such a site made him up to $200,000 per day....

Fans of the Titanfall franchise who hope for something a little more tactical will be in luck soon, after Respawn Entertainment announced the development of a mobile RTS title named Titanfall Assault. The title is being created in conjunction with mobile publisher Nexon and developer Particle City, and is the next part of the plan to release multiple mobile Titanfall games. According to Respawn, the game will boast “fluid” real-time strategy, with players needing to combine the use of Titan and Pilot units to try and defeat the enemy....

In the wake of Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax Media, Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, interviewed some key members of the publishing giant talking about the future of both companies as it pertains to the upcoming next gen consoles. During the interview, executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios Todd Howard, who also released his own statement on the acquisition, commented on the relationship the developer has had with Microsoft dating back to the launch of The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind in 2002....

Many of Twitch’s users, including its top content creators, are receiving DMCA claims purporting unauthorized use of copyrighted materials. With just three of these claims, even a massively popular and partnered Twitch streamer could be permanently banned. With little recourse, Twitch streamers are deleting years of clips and video recordings. Twitch is aware of the situation, and for the first time the company’s CEO is offering up a public apology....

Ubisoft’s Gamescom announcements reveal more details on its upcoming open world winter sports game Steep, including a release date before 2016 is over. While Ubisoft’s most vocal critics have often stated that the publisher can become too complacent in its already established formulas, the company’s E3 2016 presentation this year went a long way in refuting that notion. In a conference that included both Watch Dogs 2 and Ghost Recon: Wildlands, however, it was the brand new Steep that was the most innovative and intriguing Ubisoft title once the week-long gaming odyssey had finally ended....

Longshot is the name of the single-player campaign included in Madden NFL 18, a surprisingly engrossing story about an athlete who learns to pick himself up after his football career seems all but finished. The game comes out of left-field, given what’s expected from the franchise — but by all accounts, it was a true team effort from the wider EA family. EA Sports is just one part of a bigger company that includes the likes of Visceral Games and BioWare under its umbrella....

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth have been removed from the PlayStation Store in the West. However, you should still be able to access the games if you already own a copy. According to Gematsu, a source in the Atlus publishing team confirmed that the reason behind the delisting was the expiration of the IP rights with the publisher. There has been no word if the games will come back to the PlayStation Store at a future date....

Casual gamers and professional streamers alike have found themselves playing Valheim and it’s easy to see why. Exploring Viking purgatory would be fun enough, but add to that its unique take on the survival genre and it becomes too fun to put down. It’s the perfect game to play with friends, to boot. One of the toughest challenges in the game is defeating the final boss — Yagluth. This cursed skeleton of Viking nightmares can be a serious challenge to take down for those who try to unprepared....

What everyone is clamoring for will finally arrive as Riot just announced that their game VALORANT will have a free-for-all Deathmatch mode. The new feature will come out just after the release of Act 2 this week. It’s been months since the Closed Beta allowed players to try out the new PC title. Fans have demanded that the game include a Deathmatch mode for some time. Riot previously teased that a Deathmatch mode was in the works for some time....

The founder of a prominent Chinese video game cracking forum makes the claim that piracy in the medium could be a thing of the past in just two years from now. According to a recent blog post from the creator of the Chinese cracking forum 3DM, the ever-evolving intricacies of copy protection technology could invariably lead to the demise of video game piracy in as little as two years. Going under the pseudonym “Bird Sister” (AKA Phoenix), the 3DM pioneer disclosed her exasperation in relation to the pressure to crack Avalanche Studios’ Just Cause 3....
