Steam is adding a chat filter to block slurs and profane language from chats. Nothing ruins a competitive online multiplayer game than getting a random string of expletives and profanities by one of the opposing players following a match. Many of Steam’s games already include a profanity filter, such as CS:GO, Destiny 2, and Dota 2, but the regular client chat system didn’t previously include a filter at all. In other words, sore losers still had a way to reach out with insults....

And, of course, Wasteland 3 has cyborg chickens. In all seriousness, most aspects of Wasteland 3 have been met with approval by players. Devolver Digital has announced that quirky shoot-em-up My Friend Pedro will be coming to the PS4 on April 2, 2020. Originally released last year on PC, Xbox One, and Switch, this belated Sony edition will include the extra “Code Yellow” DLC that the previous versions got. That added heavily requested HUD features for speedrunners. For some reason, PS4 users missed out on the game last year. That error will soon be corrected....

Netflix’s latest hit show is coming from an unlikely subject: the world of chess. The Queen’s Gambit is a drama miniseries that tells the fictional story of an orphan chess prodigy played by Anya Taylor-Joy. The story follows her on a quest to become the world’s greatest chess player while also grappling with addiction and emotional conflicts. Netflix recently announced via Twitter that the show is their most popular limited scripted series to date, with 62 million households watching within the first 28 days of release....

Though, it’s purely a cosmetic change, as the pigeon doesn’t have any special abilities, which is fair, as pigeons aren’t nearly as smart as ravens. It’s a bit of a shame, though, that the pigeon doesn’t make the iconic cooing sounds that the bird is known for....
