The development of Torchlight 3 has been a wild ride for developers and fans of the series alike. One of the biggest new features is building your own fort with a broad range of customization options that reward long-term progression. Max Schaefer, Echtra CEO and Torchlight franchise creator spoke with TheGamer about how forts will impact the long-term playability of the game. “Forts are still a huge part of this game,” Schaefer begins, “We’ve gone through a lot of evolution on forts since the beginning....

There are plenty of reasons to be excited for Ubisoft’s upcoming Watch Dogs Legion, among them being the option to recruit an overwhelming number of unique NPCs that become playable, including the now iconic grandma assassin. Another reason some fans may be excited is the chance to become part of the design process, with Ubisoft giving them an opportunity to have their own music appear in the game. Ubisoft is partnering with HitRecord, a collaborative creativity platform founded by Inception and The Dark Knight Rises actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and is offering payments of $2,000 for each song that is included in the final product....

Uncharted typically follows Nathan Drake and friends on a globe-trotting treasure hunt against an opposing, evil treasure hunter. You can expect things like puzzles, perilous climbing segments, chaotic gunfights, and exuberant set pieces. Sometimes, though, the game takes a left turn and heads in an unexpected direction. There are several plot twists throughout the four mainline games that drive the story in a new direction. There are also gameplay switch-ups that have players do something completely unorthodox to the Uncharted formula....

And sometimes, glimpses of that content is released to fans before the project is finished, and those fans notice when it shows up missing in action....

Valheim’s map is filled with dangerous creatures. Even if Valheim players build a house, enemies can still attack their fortifications and cause damage to their home and their crafting stations. Therefore, great home defenses are necessary to keep safe. Defending the Homestead Players’ homes will face some invaders from time to time; some creatures will attack their walls and fortifications any time they wander by. But Valheim also features special incursions that bring several dangerous enemies to their homes to cause mayhem....

Ships are a delightful way to get around in Valheim, either by peacefully navigating the world’s many waterways or by launching yourself into space by turning a raft into the world’s biggest (and most dangerous) wooden luge. As fun as Valheim’s vessels are, they’re also somewhat limiting. There are no customization options for your boats, so once you make the longship you’re basically done as far as creating your Viking navy is concerned....

As of this writing, Split is one of the most controversial maps in Valorant due to it being extremely defending team sided. It has two bomb sites, both of which are very different and unique. A site is pretty wide open with not much cover whereas B site is very congested with multiple structures on it. Due to Split having a lot of angles and covers, many players do not like playing on the map....

Riot Games’ new 5v5 tactical first-person shooter VALORANT has a very simple premise; assume the control of agents and either take over or defend the bombsites in the allotted time. Attackers aim to plant the Spike and let it detonate, while Defenders try to fight off the attacking side by all means necessary. Either side can win by wiping out the enemy team, as long as it all happens in each round’s sub-two-minute time limit....

The Steam Controller was far from the most successful product Valve ever launched. As an attempt to bridge the gap between PC and console gaming, it fell flat, and Valve discontinued the Steam Controller in 2019. However, Valve may have a bigger problem than an underperforming peripheral, as the company is now fighting a lawsuit alleging it stole one tech company’s design feature and used it on the Steam Controller....

Ubisoft has revealed what exactly do players get from the Watch Dogs: Legion Bloodline DLC package. According to the publisher, the expansion will add almost 30 new missions to your dystopian London experience. It’s time for more Watch Dogs hacking adventures, as Ubisoft is releasing Bloodlines, the first part of the post-game story expansion with returning characters from the previous Watch Dogs games. Players can now play as Aiden Pearce, arriving in London from Chicago, and Wrench, who you last met in San Francisco in Watch Dogs 2....

If there is one thing that can be said about Watch Dogs: Legion, it’s that it has a huge map to explore – it covers a large portion of the London metropolitan area. With such a gigantic area to explore there will certainly be many areas that many players will miss. Way back in the summer of 2019, Marvel Studios announced that Oscar winner Mahershala Ali had been cast to play Blade in the MCU. Now, his debut movie is finally starting to come together. It’s been given a cool-sounding new title – Blade, the Vampire Slayer – and the script is being written by Stacy Osei-Kuffour, whose last foray into superhero fiction was HBO’s acclaimed Watchmen miniseries. Choosing Osei-Kuffour for the job came at the end of a long search conducted by Marvel with the involvement of Ali himself....

After months of inactivity, WWE finally released The Revival from their contracts, allowing the popular tag team to pursue opportunities elsewhere. Before the real-time strategy genre exploded in popularity thanks to games like Westwood Studios’ Command and Conquer, Blue Byte Software’s 1993 city-building RTS The Settlers was a hit that spawned a series that has continued to this day. However, fans who were looking forward to 2020’s new The Settlers game will have to wait to see the medieval fantasy title due to an indefinite delay announced by the development team....
