The Nintendo Switch has become known for being very port-friendly, giving a lot of existing games new life on the portable console. These include quite a few of the more obscure classics out there, like the “anti-RPG” Moon, and today it was announced that the minimalist 2D platformer Thomas Was Alone will be joining that list in a few months. First released as a browser game in 2010, Thomas Was Alone eventually launched in its final form in 2012 for PC before expanding to other platforms, including Nintendo’s previous console, the Wii U....

THQ Nordic AB co-founder and CEO Lars Wingefors has issued a statement regarding subsidiary THQ Nordic’s Ask Me Anything event on the anonymous imageboard 8chan, apologizing and condemning the board’s “unethical content.” Windefors takes full responsibility for the event in his statement, asserting that he has run an internal investigation into it and that, “every member of the organization has learned from this past week’s events.” The apology comes six days after THQ Nordic hosted a question and answer event on 8chan, an imageboard previously blacklisted from Google for “suspected child abuse content” and publicly known for hosting boards tied to harassment, bigotry, and political extremism....

TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, easily the most popular content creator on the mega-popular app, recently posted a video of herself in a hospital with tape, gauze, and blood on her nose, leading some fans to wonder exactly what was going on. As it turns out, D’Amelio recently had surgery to fix an issue she was having with her nose, stemming from an incident back in August of last year. According to D’Amelio, she broke her nose in August 2019, which has caused her to struggle with breathing issues ever since....

Later this year we’ll be getting treated to Cris Tales - a charming, award-winning turn-based RPG that lets you play around with the fabric of time, among other things. Developers Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK have created this bright, beautiful little game that’s being marketed as “an indie love letter to classic JRPGs with a new perspective.” That new perspective is primarily referring to the timebending mechanic, presumably. You’ll be joining a so-called Time Mage by the name of Crisbell on some fantastical adventures (that will apparently span more than 20 hours of gameplay) during which you’ll be able to experience past, present, and future all simultaneously....

There are few mechanics in Magic: The Gathering that are as polarizing to players as infect. Creatures with infect deal damage in the form of poison counters to players and in the form of -1/-1 counters to creatures. As a player with ten or more poison counters on them loses the game, this greatly reduces the amount of damage an infect deck needs to deal in order to win a game....

This is according to a new report by Bloomberg, which claims that Toys R Us is looking to start its comeback with less than 10 stores that will be opening in 2019. The theme music may have a new arrangement which forebodes horrifying tales, but the telling has become even further removed from the overwrought drama of the original series which aired from 1987 to 2010. This Warrior review contains spoilers. Warrior Season 2 Episode 1 Now that the Warrior world is established, the season 2 premiere concerns itself with more character development and the interweaving of story arcs. The action, however, is even more promising as the season premiere opens with (what else?) a fight scene. When we rejoin Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji), he’s getting beaten and bloodied again, locked in combat in a new no-holds-barred arena, the Barbary Coast Fight Pit, and flashing back to his brutal defeat by at the hands of Li Yong (Joe Taslim) last season....

When the original Wasteland was released by Interplay back in 1988, the game was critically and commercially acclaimed. Considered to be the genesis of later post-apocalyptic RPGs like the Fallout series, the first entry of which was developed by Interplay in 1997, the games have been revived in recent years with Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 3 releasing in 2014 and 2020 respectively, though this time by inXile Entertainment.
