Valheim, from Iron Gate AB, continues to pass new sales milestones for its wonderfully realized Viking setting, with landscapes and enemies based on Norse mythology. The game’s five boss fights, while varying greatly in difficulty, work well to make the game feel as epic as its Nordic source material. The game’s maps are mostly archipelagos, and for some players locating the bosses can often be as difficult as defeating them. Many of the bosses have abilities that are not apparent upon the first encounter and some even have interesting connections to Norse mythology....

Valve hasn’t given up on its online multiplayer card game Artifact, despite the misfire of a launch it had. In fact, it’s the exact opposite. Valve is reportedly redoubling its efforts to resurrect Artifact. It won’t be a simple retooling, either. Valve is apparently putting together a “larger reboot” than many would assume. Valve is even calling the new project Artifact 2 internally. The report comes from Edge magazine, which interviewed Valve’s CEO Gabe Newell....

The 26-page report goes into great detail about how hackers are disguising malware as Warzone cheats and then advertising them online. The software will ask the unsuspecting Warzone player to disable their security protections including anti-virus and firewalls, basically providing the hacker with a clear path to install whatever they want on the cheating player’s system....

The Metro Exodus trailer has dropped and is chock-full of gunplay, mutant beasties, and gas masks. From the looks of the gameplay featured in the trailer, Metro Exodus will be open world to some degree. The Metro video game adaptations, based off the series of novels of the same name by Dmitry Glukhovsky, have been met with critical praise by gamers and critics alike. Metro Exodus looks to further the series by taking the gameplay out of the shadowy confines of the massive Russian Metro system and releasing it into the open air in an open world environment....
