Marvel is introducing a new Iron Fist. Recent events in the comics have seen Danny Rand give up the superheroic mantle of Iron Fist, and he’ll be replaced by a new version of the character (with a cool new costume designed by Jim Cheung) this February in a new series. The book, simply titled Iron Fist, “will see the legendary mantle of Iron Fist passed on to a new hero in a revolutionary transformation of one of Marvel’s most fascinating mystical mythologies....

The PlayStation Wrap-Up has returned. It’s live now so PS4 and PS5 players can check which games they played most in 2020, and count up how many trophies they earned. It has become a trend in recent years for providers of entertainment to inform us how long we spent watching, listening to, and using products on their platforms. PlayStation does this in the form of the annual PlayStation Wrap-up, and 2020’s edition is finally here....

Despite being a little over 14 years old and two generations behind, Sony has just updated the PlayStation 3 firmware to version 4.87 so that it can run some of the latest Blu-Ray discs that are being released. I’m not sure how many people are currently buying physical media in 2020, but it’s nice that Sony hasn’t completely forgotten about its Cell powered device…even if you arbitrarily cannot play PS3 games on PS5....

Predator: Hunting Grounds’ character selection just got a bit stranger as The Samurai Predator class is now available to play as in the game. This DLC pack costs $4.99 and includes 16 armor tints, as well as early access to the new melee weapon, the Katana; it will be live for everyone else on July 17th. Illfonic, the developer of the game, added some lore to the character too. This Predator was a “demon from the sky” and became a Japanese legend....

Fans of the Mega Man series of games may be surprised to learn that the ultimate story featuring the blue bomber doesn’t exist within the games or any of his past television iterations. The title of greatest Mega Man story ever told goes to The Protomen, a Nashville-based rock band that has been performing their rock opera around the world for almost a decade and a half. One of their songs, “Light Up The Night” was even included in the standard track list for Rock Band 4)....

Super Mario Maker 2 for Nintendo Switch has been out for just over a week and is consistently one of the most popular games being played on Twitch. Popular variety streamers like MOONMOON_OW and xQcOW have been spending countless hours beating their heads against the mushroom-colored wall as they attempt to overcome some of the most dreaded, difficult, and dare I say malicious Super Mario levels ever created. Video game enthusiasts are no stranger to showing off their game room set-up, usually bathed in neon light. Ubisoft Nordic, however, has a different and more authentic approach to its gaming set-up when playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Shared by Ubisoft Nordic’s main Twitter account, the team posted a behind-the-scenes video showcasing what they thought was “the world’s most beautiful gaming experience”. The image shows an individual who is about to embark on his Valhalla adventure, clad in fur with a red cape....

Last week, UK physical PS5 game sales surged after retailers restocked next-gen consoles. According to GfK data, Spider-Man: Miles Morales climbed to the No.4 spot on the boxed games chart with a 264% sales increase, Demon’s Souls sales also skyrocketed 401%, pushing the PS5 exclusive to No.17. Despite ongoing concerns in the UK that scalpers were overtaking the next-gen console market, game sales seen to suggest that consumers have been able to get their hands on restocked PS5s....

While The Lost Legacy is the top priority at the moment for fans of the Uncharted series, there’s a possibility that we could see another installment of the franchise hit the PlayStation 4.
