It takes on pre-teen angst with the dry iced wit of an 80s anti-Brit-pop band. But it also follows a slow, sad slide into anguished irony. I was looking for a laugh, then I found a laugh, and heaven knows I’m miserable now....

The Sims 3 is a classic and generally loved entry in The Sims franchise that is still going strong. Of course, there are certain limitations to what you can do, and most of the time if you want to create your dream house you have to work for it. The developers weren’t heartless, though, so they coded in a bunch of cheat codes into the game, that when entered removed some of the restrictions of a normal game, allowing you to do pretty much anything you want....

Remember all those empty streets while flying through the city of Gotham in the Arkham games? Well, Gotham Knights has fixed that glaring issue of prior Batman games; there will be a bustling city to explore. The PlayStation Blog’s Gillen McAllister spoke to the Creative Director Patrick Redding for more details on the game. He explained that Gotham itself is “one of the biggest characters in the Bat universe,” and WB Games Montreal’s interpretation of all five boroughs is inspired by the many comics, movies, and TV shows that came before it....

Thanks to some quick-working dataminers, we now have a look at the next 11 characters that will be added to Dr. Mario World on iOS and Android. A list and image of the characters, complete in their doctor’s outfits, was posted to Twitter earlier today. The characters are all the standard Mushroom Kingdom residents we’ve come to expect in new Mario games, no wacky curve balls like Monty Mole in the Super Mario Party....

The newest narrative adventure from beloved Life is Strange developer Dontnod, Twin Mirror, has finally received a release date. Unlike Dontnod’s recent narrative-driven adventure games Twin Mirror will not be released episodically, but will instead launch as a full retail release on December 1st, 2020. The game was initially announced in June 2018 with an intended release window of later the same year, but following this the game disappeared until it was announced in June 2019 that the game would release in 2020....

“There is a survivor in all of us.” At least that’s what publisher Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics would like gamers to believe as they delve back into the world Tomb Raider. “Back” being the operative word, as this takes the series not only in an entirely new direction, but brings players back to heroine Lara Croft’s not so humble beginnings. This reboot focuses heavily on surviving in the absolute worst conditions and relying solely on wits and determination to stay alive....

Valheim, or like people like to call it, The Viking Simulator, is a game where you get to explore a vast procedurally generated purgatory made up of different biomes. Each biome has its own resources, aggressive creatures, weather, and bosses, so to fully experience everything Valheim has to offer, you’ll need to explore them all. And while each world seed in Valheim is vastly different, generally, you’ll spawn on an island that has one or two biomes in it....

VALORANT won’t have a way to support community-made maps any time soon, as the game’s development team will be focusing on delivering more content instead. In today’s Dev Diaries video, game director Joe Ziegler spoke on what’s to come for VALORANT’s maps. While Ziegler agrees that community-made maps are valuable, the system needed to support them would take “years of development to get off the ground.” Ziegler starts by explaining why the game’s newest map, Icebox, was released way earlier than expected....

DontNod Entertainment has released the official trailer for Vampyr, a game which puts players into the role of a vampire struggling to survive in Victorian-era London. During a Twitch stream from Starcraft 2 professional PartinG, a viewer baited him into thinking he was a girl. The viewer allegedly messaged PartinG multiple times, eventually stating, “I’m a girl, answer.” The claim piqued the Korean Starcraft player’s curiosity, leading him to pick up the mysterious Discord call.
