A Christmas Carol is the definitive Christmas story. Yes, you might try and argue it’s the nativity, but the volume of movie adaptations begs to differ, and I can tell your heart’s not in it. And yes, I see those of you rushing to the comments to tell us it’s Die Hard and I think you’re very big and clever. But A Christmas Carol has everything, all the trappings of Christmas, that sliver of darkness running through the whole thing, and above all a strong seasonal message to remind us what Christmas is about....

The Simpsons Season 32 Episode 9 While the payoff gives us something less than a pre-Christmas miracle, but goes very far in redeeming the episode from a traditional copout. The teachers at Springfield Elementary are big dumb jerks, and Miss Hoover is one of the biggest. She is also one of its least visible, so it is good to see her featured, and flawed. Expansion packs are a staple in the Sims series. Every iteration of the base game has been accompanied by several packs that add new features, interactions, and worlds to play in to the original game. Though The Sims has come a long way since it was originally released in February 2000. Though many Simmers prefer the newer editions of the game due to the increased activities, better graphics, and improved customization, many fans still enjoy the original games....

On February 20th, 2019, EA dropped a trailer for the new addition to the Sims 4 Oeuvre and the fandom was immediately split. This new expansion/game pack was called “Strangerville” and many fans of the series were not sure how to feel. The trailer follows a young girl of military origins who discovers that something is amiss in the town in which she lives. With the help of a local conspiracy theorist, she discovers that the Sims may not be alone in the Universe… and that those new beings may not be friendly....

Telltale’s The Walking Dead is the developer’s most iconic and arguably best project of all time, which makes it no surprise that the team is re-releasing the original games in one epic collection. The Walking Dead Collection will contain all three seasons of the currently-released Walking Dead experience, as well as the spin-off 400 Days, and the three-part Michonne miniseries that follows the adventures of the popular character. The Walking Dead Collection is perfect for zombie fans who are interested in getting hold of the upcoming Walking Dead game but have yet to play some or all of the original three Telltale series....

This Walking Dead review contains spoilers. The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 5 Holy moley, what a gigantic waste of time to open the episode with Gregory’s meeting with Negan and the Saviors before the attack on the Sanctuary. I just don’t get why any of this is necessary. We know Gregory is a coward, we know he turns on a dime depending on what will secure his continued survival, and we know he’s a terrible liar....

Following its cancelled appearance at Anime Expo, Square Enix made the surprising announcement that its cult classic Nintendo DS game The World Ends With You would be receiving an anime adaptation last week. Today, as part of Funimation’s digital FunimationCon 2020, the first teaser trailer for the upcoming 2021 anime has been released, with Funimation also announcing that it is licensing the anime for an English-language release next year. The anime will blend 2D and 3D animation with an art style true to Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi’s original artwork....

Yet another title has been announced for the PlayStation 5. We’re still several months away from the next-gen console’s launch, which won’t be affected by the coronavirus outbreak, but a number have games have already been lined up. The latest of those titles is Quantum Error, a game from the horror genre developed by Teamkill Media. “Quantum Error is a cosmic-horror first-person shooter currently in development by TeamKill Media for the PS5 and PS4,” reads the very brief description on the studio’s website, Teamkillmedia....

With Jurassic Park: Evolution being claimable for free on the Epic Games Store for the last week, the storefront has cycled out the dinosaur-focused park builder for a new game. This time around, players will be able to get their hands on Crying Suns, with the new game currently available to redeem on the marketplace. The game will be available from today until January 14 at 8 AM PT, at which time it will be replaced by next week’s game, Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition....

Respawn Entertainment announces a new patch for Titanfall 2 which makes several balancing adjustments to multiplayer, as well as a big change to the Map Hack skill. Titanfall 2 drops players into a fast-paced battlefield with pilots running parkour-style across the landscape and Titans engaging in brutal combat via high power ordinance. Respawn Entertainnment’s Titanfall 2 earned itself a high review score for its ability to keep combat consistently both entertaining and satisfying, and that’s exactly how Respawn Entertainment hopes to make the multiplayer continue to feel thanks to a brand new patch for the game’s numerous multiplayer modes....

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has finally been announced, remastering the original two games in the critically-acclaimed Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise for modern platforms. The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 release date is September 4, but it appears as though fans will be able to try the collection out ahead of time. It’s been confirmed that the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 pre-order bonus is a demo of the famous Warehouse level....

Torchlight 3’s announcement surprised many as it was announced off the back of quasi-MMO Torchlight Frontiers early this year. Now Echtra Inc., headed by Diablo and Torchlight creator Max Schafer, has another surprise for ARPG fans. Torchlight 3 is available now in Early Access on PC. Torchlight 3 publisher Perfect World actually pulled the trigger early on launching the game’s Early Access. Fans noticed the game go live about 45 minutes early....

Tribes: Ascend, since it was announced in March 2011, has been eagerly awaited by ever-patient gamers.
