Back in 2016, Ubisoft choose to forgo launching a brand new Assassin’s Creed game for the first time since 2008. Now Ubisoft has confirmed that the Assassin’s Creed franchise will be skipping 2019 as well. Confirmation of the franchise’s hiatus next year comes from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot at Gamescom. Guillemot has said that rather than push to create a brand new game, the team will instead support Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with additional content updates as a way to retain players following the game’s launch this October....

Naughty Dog’s upcoming title, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, may be a standalone title within the series’ canon, but fans will be pleased to know that the game will feature a lengthy adventure that will rival anything that Nathan Drake has experienced throughout his previous four Uncharted outings. Speaking to the IBTimes after winning the Best Game BAFTA for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Naughty Dog director of communications Arne Mayer dropped a hint regarding The Lost Legacy’s length, suggesting that it may clock in at about 10 hours long....

Competitive VALORANT players are getting tired of a lack of updates to the ranked system. Turns out, there’s a reason for that. VALORANT’s ranked matchmaking has a few teething issues after officially launching last month. The biggest complaint appears to be the matchmaking itself, which sometimes pits teams against each other where there’s an enormous skill gap. Ranks are also displayed at the beginning of a match, too, which sometimes encourages toxic behavior from higher-ranked players....

Roki, the visually striking adventure game in which a young girl named Tove ventures deep into a forbidden woods filled with magic, monsters, and wonder, made a welcome return during Saturday’s Guerrilla Collective event. The game’s latest trailer teased the game’s gorgeous visuals, as well as some of the creatures that await the player. Roki is now confirmed for a July 23 release on PC. The adventure game is deeply inspired by Scandinavian folklore, which is very evident in the trailer....

Digital Extremes is working on a Warframe update that optimises textures and lightmaps. The end result should be barely noticeable visual differences and a much smaller file size. The update will see the game reduced in size by around 15GB, though the initial download will swallow up 6.5GB. The main reason for the change is because many players can no longer fit the game on their smaller SSDs. That means they have to put it on a slower HDD, where they contend with longer loading times....

During today’s Nacon Connect stream, the publisher announced that a next-generation port of hack-n-slash RPG Warhammer: Chaosbane is currently in development. It will be heading to the PS5 and Xbox Series X sometime in the future. If the game sounds like an interesting premise to you, it is presently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Surprise, it’s time a new Overwatch event, as Blizzard has launched the Summer Games Event today, along with some new skins, sprays, victory poses, and other goodies. Also, if you’re a big Lucioball fan, you’ll be happy to hear that it’s back for yet another consecutive year of ball booping madness. This event also has an added bonus for players that hopefully will become a new standard for Overwatch events going forward....

Call of Duty: Warzone has had its fair share of frustrations. From game-breaking glitches to massive file sizes that force you to make tough choices between which games to keep installed on your device, there are plenty of issues worth talking about. However, one particular problem is unique, rage-inducing, and amusing all at once: there are loads of invisible enemies in Warzone. Earning exotic items in Destiny 2 isn’t always the most rewarding experience. Titanfall 2 gets a new E3 2016 teaser video ahead of its gameplay debut, while details of two collector’s editions for the game reportedly leak online. Back in April, EA and Respawn Entertainment finally gave fans a brief teaser trailer as the first look at Titanfall 2. The trailer, which featured a still-burning crash site and a titan that appeared to be wielding an electrified sword, got everybody talking and fans were champing at the bit to know more....
