This week’s list of Steam top-selling games, as measured by revenue and not unit-sales, has shown that Valheim’s ongoing success is more than a viral phenomena. Valheim has overcoming its competition for four weeks straight, meaning Valheim has been in the top position of Steam’s weekly top-sellers for the entirety of February. It doesn’t look like its popularity will be tapering off anytime soon. Technically, Valheim did have a bit of a dip this past week....

Valorant‘s recent Episode 4 update not only introduces a new agent (Neon) but gives anyone who may have stepped away from this game since its 2020 debut the perfect excuse to dive back into what has proven to be one of the most compelling competitive multiplayer experiences on PC. Valorant’s tactical shooter gameplay will remind many of Counter-Strike, but the game’s Agent system really sets it apart from Valve’s multiplayer shooter masterpiece....

“Today, we have arrived at a number of difficult decisions that are resulting in a smaller WarnerMedia team. This is a function of removing layers and the impact of consolidating previously separate organizations. Starting today in North America, we will be sharing which jobs are being eliminated and which roles have changed.” These were the words of WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar in an email sent throughout the company. As reported by the Wall Street Journal, WarnerMedia is looking to cut costs by about 20%, which involves potential layoff numbers in the thousands....

Call of Duty Warzone may be getting a new fast-travel system in the form of red doors, according to a leaked survey. As shown by Twitter user and Call of Duty leaker ModernWarzone, Activision has sent out surveys asking players to rate what they thought of the recent Verdansk ‘84 update. There are multiple options on the survey from features that were added during the update. On that survey is an option to rank “The Red Doors”, which is marked as the “new fast travel system”....

Hackers are nothing new to Warzone, having seen its fair share of exploits and bugs since launching in 2020. However, this auto-pinging, night-vision goggle-wearing hacker is – unfortunately – taking things to a new level. Posted to Twitter by Twitch Partner, Yungstaz, the clip shows off 30-seconds of the hack in action. Other players in the lobby are at turns upset and excited at the “next-level” hack, before meeting up with the hacker to chat after the game....

The Sims Bustin’ Out was an interesting title for the PlayStation 2 that took the Sims concept and made it into a mission-based RPG for players to explore. The player is tasked with completing each career track, buy everyone’s possessions back from the debt collector, and become rich enough to kick Malcolm Landgraab out of his own mansion. Because the game required players to perform specific activities before items, locations, and other things would become unlocked cheats were a popular way to circumvent these obstacles....

Piranha Plant was announced as a playable fighter during the final Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct earlier this month. It will not be part of the base roster, but series creator Masahiro Sakurai did reveal that the plant will be available as free DLC for a limited time. Konami was set to release a miniaturized version of NEC’s TurboGrafx-16 console next week, but plans have suddenly changed. Originally set to launch in a few weeks, the company announced via the mini console’s official website that concerns over the spread of the coronavirus have indefinitely delayed the release of the device. Twitch continues its streak of cracking down on streamers who violate their community guidelines, this time dropping the hammer on one of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s popular players. Unlike the platform’s recent DMCA-inspired content culling, “aggression” earned this streamer his fourth temporary ban. Oleksandr ‘S1mple’ Kostyliev, arguably one of the best CS:GO players in the world, was banned on October 30 for saying a Russian slur. The leading player of Natus Vincere’s CS:GO squad, S1mple has been banned for aggressive behavior and the use of slurs before, as recently as July 30....

The latest phenomenon to take Twitch by storm is the channel seebotschat, where two Google Home devices have a conversation about anything and everything. Over the five-year history of Twitch, the streaming service has changed a lot.
