CD Project Red is teaming up with GO ON BOARD to bring The Witcher franchise to tabletops with the upcoming competitive adventure board game The Witcher: Old World. The RPG adventure game will launch its Kickstarter this spring, and is scheduled for an April 2022 release. As the name suggests, The Witcher: Old World takes place long before Geralt of Rivia’s adventures in The Witcher series. The tabletop RPG is tended for two-to-five players who assume the role of professional monster slayers that have recently completed their training from one of the witcher schools: School of Wolf, Viper, Cat, Bear or Griffin....

Every year, Twitch runs a promotion called SUBtember, which gives a discount to first-time subscribers. Last week, Twitch announced plans to replace the old PogChamp emote with a brand new streamer every day. The issue came about after Twitch pulled the old amount due to Ryan “Gootecks” Gutierrez–the guy who’d been forever the face of PogChamp up until January 6–making some inciteful comments over the failed insurrection of America’s capital. “We want the sentiment and use of Pog to live on – its meaning is much bigger than the person depicted or image itself – and it has a big place in Twitch culture,” Twitch wrote at the time....

Undertale is an indie 2D RPG video game released on PC in September 2015, on PS4 (and PS Vita) in August 2017, on the Nintendo Switch in September 2018, and on Xbox One (and Xbox Series X/S) on March 16, 2021. Developed by Toby Fox, the game follows a child who has fallen into the Underground on his journey back to the surface. US Congressman and House antitrust chair David Cicilline, a Democrat from Rhode Island, is making a strong statement against Apple’s App Store fees. Rep. Cicilline describes Apple’s 30% fees on all sales in the App Store as “highway robbery,” even going so far as to say that Apple is “bullying” developers to pay the fees or denying them access. Rep. Cicilline made these comments during an interview on a recent episode of The Vergecast podcast....

Valheim players won’t want to venture out into the world without armor, a good shield, some food, and of course a bow and arrows. There are several types of arrows in Valheim that players can craft, and some of them are incredibly powerful. Basic Wood Arrows When a player is first starting out, they can make themselves a crude bow out of Valheim’s leather scraps and some wood. The most basic arrows are also made of some wood; this is good news, as players will want to start taking out deer as soon as possible....

There comes a point in Valheim, normally after The Elder has been defeated, when mead and potions become a necessity. In this world, mead has more utility value than setting up a fun night. Some meads will offer resistance to frost and fire damage, which are necessary to traverse later biomes. Others can provide instant healing when the enemies ramp up in difficulty, far exceeding those found in Valheim’s Meadows and the Black Forest....

Even dramatic, perfectly serious films and TV shows often lead to the creation of many memes. But when a show is a comedy or sitcom, it’s even better. WandaVision is both drama and comedy - and neither. It’s a unique story full of contradictions that switches between various moods. It’s been an interesting few days for the Watch Dogs franchise. After a leak spoiled the surprise announcement, Ubisoft followed it up with a tease of their own hinting that Watch Dogs Legion would be featured in London, England. The leaks didn’t stop there however as the box art leaked online mere hours before its official announcement trailer at Ubisoft’s E3 2019 Press Conference. Those familiar with World of Darkness have been anticipating Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood since it was announced in January of 2017. IGN has released a chilling trailer ahead of the virtual Summer of Gaming 2020 event of its successor to Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines, which may not have been the greatest horror video game of all time, but it’s up there.
