Random encounters are things the player may or may not come across while exploring the various post-apocalyptic wastelands of the Fallout series. These occurrences are usually the result of the player meeting some sort of unmentioned criteria or stumbling across an unplanned event spawned by the game’s RNG. Every game in the main Fallout series holds a large variety of fun and sometimes outlandish scenarios that one can experience. Many exist to expand the world lore or be short and comical in a way that can break up the monotony of exploring....

Shadow Warrior 3 is set to launch at some point this year on PC and, in celebration, it’s joined in on the Devolver Digital publisher sale at 84% off on Steam. The Last of Us Part 2 is an uncomfortable game at the best of times. Twitch will join forces with Cxmmunity to develop an esports league for historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The goal is to provide students at HBCUs scholarships and educational support through the Twitch Student program as well as to help the schools expand esports programs. Cxmmunity, a nonprofit organization that seeks to increase the participation of minorities within the esports and video game industry to create equal opportunities for new jobs and professions, was co-founded by Chris Peay, a graduate of an HBCU, who says he knows firsthand about the lack of representation in the gaming industry....

QTCinderella, a relatively popular Twitch streamer known for her “Just Chatting” social streams, was recently featured as a guest on fellow streamer Trihex’s podcast. During the podcast, which itself was streamed live on Twitch, QTCinderella told a story about how she used bed bugs to get revenge on an abusive ex-boyfriend. According to QTCinderella, her ex-boyfriend abruptly moved to Las Vegas, stealing all of the furniture in their home in the process....

Reported by several major news sources last month, a Florida teen was convicted in late July for taking part in a series of Twitter hacks, the likes of which saw Joe Biden, Kanye West, Elon Musk, and other major celebrity accounts unwittingly partake in a shady, large-scale bitcoin scam. The teen managed to access the highly influential Twitter members’ details by tricking a Twitter employee into giving him access to the site’s Customer Service Portal, using his tech-based skills to gain access to and swindle each of the celebrity’s large followings....

Ubisoft has recently apologized for confusing fans with a post that included an image of Rayman. Teasing games with concept art is not new to the gaming industry. Often, these are the first images that we see of a game that is in the very early stages of development. However, this was not the case in a recent Facebook post from Ubisoft, which lead to a lot of confusion. Instead of creating engagement with a project, the studio was forced to apologize for misleading fans with its use of Rayman concept art....

Ubisoft has just recently renewed its trademark for Beyond Good & Evil. The French-based video game publisher and developer has long been working on a sequel to the 2003 cult-classic, so this trademark renewal could mean many different things for Beyond Good & Evil and Ubisoft. When a publisher renews a trademark, speculation often comes forth. Although the renewal could simply be necessary behind-the-scenes paperwork, it also sometimes leads to exciting news, like how the game Skate 4 was revealed this year after EA renewed the Skate trademark late in 2019....
