Earlier this week, Sony announced the free PS Plus Games for May 2020, and fans weren’t exactly thrilled by the lineup. Many fans have expressed their disappointment that the next pair of free games are Cities: Skylines, a city building game in the vein of SimCity, and Farming Simulator 19, a farming sim that earned mixed reviews. Some are so upset by the free PS Plus games for May 2020 that they have even signed a petition asking Sony to change the free games....

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is coming back in 2020. It’s not a new game, however, as fans would be understandably wary of that after the last release. Rather, it’s a remaster of the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater and its sequel. Many Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater fans are excited to revisit what many consider the franchise’s best years, and that’s not just in terms of the awesome skateboarding gameplay, but also two of the best licensed soundtracks of all-time....

In the world of alternative sports games there are only a few names that gamers recognize – with the king of them all being either EA’s SSX or Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. While one of those franchises was revealed during last year’s ceremony (and underwent a significant overhaul post-announcement), the Hawkman’s series has been MIA for a little over a year. Thankfully, or unthankfully depending on your opinion of the property’s decline over the years, it looks like gamers might be seeing the unveiling of a new entry in the Tony Hawk series, and it might be very soon....

Toy Soldiers: War Chest could’ve been a great followup to Cold War, but technical issues and questionable DLC practices hold it back from reaching its full potential. Signal Studios has struck a winning formula with the Toy Soldiers games. Both the original and the follow-up, Cold War (read our review), were great games, expertly blending fast-paced action with the typically slow tower defense genre. Fans of the first two games have been eagerly anticipating Toy Soldiers: War Chest for quite some time now, but it seems as though the transition from Microsoft to Ubisoft as publisher has had some unfortunate consequences....

Last week it was revealed that High Moon Studios is developing a sequel to Transformers: War for Cybertron, a follow-up we knew was coming from information given out at an Activision’s investor call last year. After being forced to rush out a weak Transformers game to tie into the release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon in theaters, now High Moon has a chance to get it right once again....

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans that enjoy playing the game’s limited time playlists will be seeing the rotation updated on a new day going forward. From now on, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War playlists will be updated on Thursdays. Previously, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s playlists were changed on Tuesdays, making this swap in dates noteworthy for those who had gotten used to the schedule....

Within hours, Twitch suspended veteran streamer Amouranth as well as the newly partnered ProjektMelody. Both streamers are known for their risque approach to content – one a popular cosplayer, the other a virtual Chaturbate star. Regarding ProjektMelody, Twitch seems to be at odds with itself. On one hand, they eagerly partnered the virtual webcam model before she started a single stream; on the other, however, Melody embodies everything that Twitch is cautious against....

As uncertainty continues to spread along with COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus, another major event has been canceled as a precautionary measure. This time it’s TwitchCon Amsterdam being shelved, which was scheduled to take place from May 2-3 of this year. The move is disappointing to fans and Twitch streamers who were prepared to make the trek in celebration of European content creators, but not at all surprising. The official statement from Twitch reads, ““We have been monitoring Coronavirus concerns and having weighed the potential health risks to our community we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel TwitchCon Amsterdam....

Ubisoft has reiterated that it remains undecided on whether to up the price of its triple-A games and the units it shifted last year demonstrate why. During the build to the launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, certain developers and publishers declared they would be upping the retail price of triple-A games. Take-Two led the way, announcing that the current-gen version of NBA 2K21 would cost $70 as opposed to the $60 price point that has been the industry norm for the past two generations....

To ensure that gaming history is preserved for future generations, a UK videogame museum was granted $52,000 (£40,000) to help it stay open during the pandemic. After several attempts to get the project off the ground, Sony Pictures announces a new director for the long-gestating film adaptation of Uncharted. Earlier this year, the Uncharted franchise came to a close with the release of its fourth mainline installment, A Thief’s End. However, there have long been plans to bring the series to the multiplex, and yesterday the project took another big jump towards the start of production....

Thanks to a group of Call of Duty leakers, fans received some gameplay footage of the Ural Mountains map that was thought to be a planned part of either Warzone or the since-scrapped “Blackout 2.0” project, but has never been released. The gameplay footage came in the form of an 8-minute long video courtesy of CoD leakers Cheezburgerboyz, posted late on June 6. Unfortunately, though, the video has since been taken down on Twitter, thanks to a “response to a report from the copyright holder....

Of all the biomes in Valheim, the Ocean is one of the emptiest and most vast of them. The Ocean can only be traversed by one of the three boats available to Valheim players to sail, and it is populated by fish, Sea Serpents, and Leviathans. What is a Leviathan Leviathans are massive ocean-dwelling creatures that look a lot like small islands. Usually covered in moss, a few trees, and small round barnacles, Leviathans only appear randomly deep in the Ocean biome....

The Valorant Episode 2 Battle Pass will arrive shortly for fans of the team-oriented first-person shooter. But for eager followers who want to know exactly what is in store, the details of said Battle Pass of one of 2020’s biggest multiplayer games may have already been leaked. Russian YouTuber БАЧОК YouTube posted a video that spilled the beans, detailing what players can expect in Episode 2 for Valorant for both the bonus free and paid Battle Pass....

Double victory all the way! After publishers THQ and Electronic Arts promised PlayStation 3 exclusive bonuses for Saints Row: The Third and Battlefield 3 at Sony’s E3 2011 press conference this summer, both came up short upon release of their titles and we were left with broken promises. Saints Row: The Third was supposed to come with a bonus mode and EA was supposed to package Battlefield 1943 in with Battlefield 3, but in both cases, this didn’t happen....

Forget the blackmail and bad blood theories: new intelligence suggests that Jade and Craig were murdered by Soviets because they’d stumbled onto Russia’s top secret plan for HMS Vigil. What plan, you ask? Judging by the spies’ interest in Vigil’s ventilation system, it’s either to subtly undermine Western democracy by messing with the boat’s air-con settings, or to suffocate the crew in a tragic ‘accident’ that pushes the UK into voting against renewing its nuclear deterrent....

Walmart Canada’s website just went nuts, with pre-order icons for all sorts of unannounced games appearing out of nowhere. Titles like Borderlands 3, Rage 2, and Gears of War 5 have not been referred to in any official capacity, and yet players can see prices and pre-order information about them on the site. With E3 coming in a month, this mistake has lead to speculation, confusion, and general amusement from gamers....

We got at least one big reveal in the seventh episode of Marvel’s WandaVision, and though it was indeed a key turning point that we’d been expecting since the series began, it wasn’t quite what some fans hoped for. There are still two episodes to go, however, and we suspect there might be more huge reveals left to come, and yet more wild commercials that many of us will spend hours picking apart....

WandaVision has already served up a few casting surprises, from bringing back forgotten faces to introducing classic comic characters, to resurrecting fallen heroes. However, I reckon the writers have been dangling the biggest reveal right under our noses this whole time. Next week, I think they’ll introduce the Fantastic Four. Ever since Monica Rambeau was ejected from the Hex in episode three, she has mentioned an “aerospace engineer” friend who could help....

The following contains spoilers for the finale of Marvel Studios’ WandaVision. Near the beginning of WandaVision’s climactic conclusion (so confident in its own finality the episode is literally titled “The Series Finale”), the show brings audiences up-to-speed on the immediate whereabouts of Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau, trapped in a basement and held hostage by Evan Peters’ mysterious individual calling himself “Pietro Maximoff.” Rambeau later discovers “Pietro” is neither a brainwashed doppelganger from the X-Men movie universe nor a subconscious creation of the title character’s sprawling circling cycle of grief like so many believed - he’s Ralph Bohner, an ordinary Westview resident, powered by and under the command of Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness....
