Despite having been available for nearly two years at this point, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remains a popular title for the modding community, as there have been a plethora of graphics mods, first-person mods, and even ones as simple as adding snow to the open world created since the base game’s initial launch. The Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness only recently lost its standing as the current most popular show on the streaming service to Illumination’s Despicable Me. However, in its time at the top, Tiger King broke the record for the most minutes streamed for a show in one week, with over 5.3 billion minutes watched between March 23 and 29. This stat comes from the Nielsen Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) ratings as put out by The Hollywood Reporter Friday....

In July 2006, EA revealed The Lord of the Rings: The White Council. Slated as the follow-up to EA Redwood Shores’ critically-acclaimed Lord of the Rings games, The White Council was set to finally unlock the shackles binding the studio to Peter Jackson’s film trilogy. Unfortunately, the project was canned approximately two years into development for reasons ranging from the technological jump of the Xbox 360/PS3 generation to the reception of an expensive and damningly lukewarm Godfather game....

Poor Ninja didn’t even get to be the most famous person on Mixer for one day. “Director” and F.B.I person of interest (probably) Tommy Wiseau has tweeted about his Mixer account just hours after the announcement that Ninja would be leaving Twitch to stream on Mixer exclusively. Tommy is best known as the writer/producer/director/editor/financier/star of the cult classic film The Room which is universally regarded as the word movie ever made by anyone ever....

After months of rumors, leaks, and speculation, Activision has finally announced that the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series is coming back with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, a remastered collection of the first two games in the critically-acclaimed skateboarding series. The game was announced as part of the four month long Summer Game Fest event, complete with a trailer that confirmed its September 4, 2020 release date for PC, PS4, and Xbox One....

Torchlight 3’s latest update, Gear ‘N’ Goblins, is celebrating the spooky season with new Legendary items, exclusive Halloween-themed pets, and new fort decorations. The update is now available for download on Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and will be “available soon” on Nintendo Switch. The new pets include Midnight Cat, Dragonling Spirit, and Spooky Retriever – all of which are terrifyingly adorable. They can be rescued from dungeons and bosses and feature the new Necropupper legendary skill....

Twitch issued bans to at least three streamers yesterday for restreaming the second night of the Democratic Debate on CNN. Streamers Trihex, Hasan, and Destiny have all have their accounts suspended for copyright violations and will have their VODs of last nights streams deleted. All three banned streamers were partnered, meaning their channels are monetized through subscriptions and ad revenue. Many other channels restreamed the debates as well, but it would appear as of yet only Destiny, Hasan, and Trihex have been banned....

Twitter has updated the way its iPhone app works, making the algorithmic timeline the default whether you want it or not. The change, which inexplicably hasn’t yet gone live for those using Android devices, means that every time the Twitter app is opened people will see the timeline as Twitter wants them to see it. The previous sparkly logo that allowed users to switch between the algorithmic timeline and one showing tweets from the people they follow is now gone as part of the change, too....

While 3D platformers featuring a colorful cartoon mascot on the PlayStation 2 were practically a dime a dozen back in the early 2000s, Ty The Tasmanian Tiger was always something of a cult classic. Not only did the popular 2002 title managed to spawn three sequels - with the most recent of which launching back in 2015 on the PC - it also managed to garner a fairly strong community following, which has persisted to this day, allowing the game to re-release on the Nintendo Switch....

Video game developer and publisher Ubisoft has been the subject of scrutiny after widespread reports of sexual assault and misconduct have led to multiple executives being suspended and CEO Yves Guillemot announcing structural changes to combat toxicity within the company. Today, those changes have been escalated, as three executives resigned, according to a Ubisoft press release, including Chief Creative Officer Serge Hascoet. Hascoet has served this position at Ubisoft since 2006, according to a biography kept by Bloomberg News, whose reporter Jason Schreier confirmed via Twitter that he is leaving the company entirely, not just his current role....

The news surrounding Ubisoft as of late hasn’t been exactly positive. After numerous allegations came out about its executives and game directors and resulted in a great many of them resigning (or being fired) from the company, CEO Yves Guillemot eventually addressed the matter before one of its Ubisoft Forward streams. At the time, many didn’t completely believe that Guillemot had stated, but it seems he is truly sincere about enacting some positive change at the company....

The Uncharted series is known for the sheer range of factors it brings to the gameplay experience. Some of the fanbase prefers the puzzles that are to be solved, while others are just there for the action. To credit the latter, there’s no denying that the fight sequences are one of the crucial reasons for the franchise’s success. It comes down to the effective use of weapons here. The games have a good variety of guns to choose from, and knowing which one to select in a certain scenario can change the way you play it....

According to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End lead designer Ricky Cambier, Naughty Dog’s upcoming action-adventure game will shed some light into Nathan Drake’s mysterious childhood. Now that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has gone gold, and there’s only two weeks to go before gamers can get their hands on the game, Naughty Dog have been busy getting players up to speed on what they can expect in Nathan Drake’s final adventure....

Last night, the BAFTA games awards for 2017 were handed out at a flashy event held at the Tobacco Dock in London, England. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End managed to scoop Best Game, beating out a field that also included Overwatch, Stardew Valley, and Titanfall 2. It’s not too surprising to see Uncharted 4 grab the award, given its enormously positive critical reception upon its release, and the many plaudits it has received since....

Start stretching, gumshoes, there are more unsolved mysteries to solve. Netflix announced today that a new batch of episodes of its Unsolved Mysteries reboot will be arriving on October 19, 2020. This is not a new season, but a continuation of the first season branded as “Unsolved Mysteries Season 1 Voume 2.” And just like the first go-around, this second volume will feature six episodes. Netflix’s full announcement reads: In six new episodes, Unsolved Mysteries profiles more unexplained disappearances, tragic events, and bizarre occurrences....

In the world of survival adventure games, Valheim stands out from the crowd because of its environment. The game also stands out because of the number of different mechanics Valheim offers. Valheim’s mysteries and mechanics pop up throughout the game, but there’s one particular state of being that might be the most important of all. Comfort, and the ability to build it up over the course of the game, plays into several other mechanics....

Survival crafting games are a dime a dozen, but the intricate history of Valheim’s open-world environment offers players a nearly-endless expanse in which to either thrive or die. The giant glowing red runestones scattered about are hard to miss, and if you want some tips to deal with particularly troublesome enemies, you’ll want to find as many as you can. Because Valheim is procedurally generated, it’s impossible to tell you the coordinates of each runestone (which adds to the fun)....

A Valorant developer recently shed some light on the recent Sage nerfs, helping fans understand why the agent was altered in the latest patch. Prior to patch 1.07, players agreed that Sage was a must pick, regardless of map or rank. Her wall and slow orbs alone provided too much utility to pass up, not to mention her heal and resurrection abilities. Now, Riot has taken her down a notch with the most recent patch, but many question whether or not the changes are justified....
