A couple of days ago, Ubisoft came out with a list of nine old games that they said just won’t work on the PS5 through backwards compatibility. The list mostly included various iterations of Assassin’s Creed, but also contained Risk, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Werewolves Within, and Space Junkies. Ubisoft didn’t provide any explanation as to why these games wouldn’t work, just that they weren’t part of PS5 backwards compatibility. They might play, but have bugs, or they might not even boot up at all....

Valorant players have one more month to complete the game’s second battlepass. In a recent Tweet, Riot Games shared some specific information regarding when the current act in Valorant would end, as well as when the game’s servers will go down for maintenance. When compared to the time leading up to Act II’s launch, it seems like there is a lot less excitement for Act III. Valorant launched in June, bringing with it a slew of new content....

Riot Games’ VALORANT will be getting competitive matchmaking in upcoming patch 1.02, the developer team revealed today. The update will also bring in revamped rank icons and a change to the top rank’s title. VALORANT launched earlier this month without a ranked game mode, after having had one throughout most of the closed beta. Riot held back on adding competitive matchmaking right away in order to focus on maintaining VALORANT’s servers upon launch, and to give new players the same time to learn the game that beta players had....

Warface is a free-to-play multiplayer FPS that was released for PC back in October of 2013 and has been ported over to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in the years since then. It was developed by Crytek Kiev and Blackwood Games and published by My.com. Warface: Breakout is a spin-off tactical shooter that was released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One in May of 2020 and currently costs $19....

Warframe’s third open world has introduced a whole host of activities for players to experience. Classic activities such as bounties and fishing are available on the Cambion Drift, but so too are unique activities and secrets that some have yet to discover. While the Cambion Drift might be smaller in size than the last open world, it doesn’t lack the attention to detail that previous open worlds have. Helicopters make great transportation for fans trying to traverse the map in Call of Duty: Warzone. Wasteland 3 is set to be a huge title, according to the head of Wasteland 3 developer inXile Entertainment. Some light has been shed on Wasteland 3, with its x019 trailer demonstrating the game’s combat and environments. Yet, there are still numerous unknowns about the game, including the game’s scope. GM of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg sent out a tweet Thursday mentioning a call he had with InXile Entertainment’s Studio Head, Brian Fargo....

It sounds like everyone’s favorite pink puffball, Kirby, is getting a “variety” of content in the future. Kirby is one of Nintendo’s most well-known franchises. The legendary Warp Star hero has been the star of numerous games since his debut on the Game Boy in 1992. The last main installment was 2018’s Kirby Star Allies. Since then, there was the Kirby’s Epic Yarn 3DS port last year, as well as the free-to-play Super Kirby Clash....

Coming from the team that worked on one of the most popular Fallout games, New Vegas, The Outer Worlds promised an entire universe, or at least a few planet’s worth, of choice. Combat isn’t completely avoidable, but there are plenty of opportunities to circumvent a fight using other skills like dialogue, and hacking. Stealth, on the other hand, was given more complexity than just ducking through vents and staying out of vision cones....

Releasing on November 12, The Pathless is already looking to be one of the PlayStation 5’s most stunning games, tasking players with traveling to a mysterious island and cleansing it of a sinister evil. Early previews have already pegged it to be a striking next project for Giant Squid, with the studio’s work on the meditative, underwater adventure ABZÛ putting the developer on the map back in 2016. The new title seems to focus on swift movement around gorgeous environments, centering on the game’s protagonist using a bow and arrow to string together free-flowing traversal....

The PlayStation Vue television service will be seeing a price increase this month, with all packages receiving a five dollar price bump as of today. The only exception is for existing customers, who will keep the old price until the end of the month. The official PlayStation.Blog website has outlined the reasons behind the price increase for PlayStation Vue in a new post. The reason why the price for the service is increasing is due to the rising costs for content across the current media landscape, which has prompted Sony to do the same....

The track record for each Watch Dogs story has been pretty average overall, never overtly bad but never outstanding either. With each game there’s been a slide towards satire and easygoing hacktivism, with Watch Dogs 2 never taking itself too seriously. That notion is further elevated in Watch Dogs Legion, taking the story all the way into a futuristic surveillance state full of London caricatures. The world and the characters of Legion are all charismatic rebels taking on a comically villainous leader of a private militia....

If The Void came out in the 1980s, it might have spawned an entire franchise, spent decades burnishing its credentials as a cult horror gem, and would be the subject any day now of a lovely restored deluxe edition Blu-ray from Scream Factory, Arrow or some other niche home video shingle. As it stands, this being 2017, The Void is still a blast as a horror film and a kind of a throwback to those wild and crazy days of three decades ago....

The premiere episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne provides a combat-filled experience that will please fans of both TellTale Games and The Walking Dead. The three-episode series entitled The Walking: Dead Michonne will focus on Michonne’s traumatic past, detailing a period from the comic books in which the machete-wielding survivor sets off from Rick’s group in order to sort out her inner demons. Although The Walking Dead: Michonne is meant as a filler whilst the studio works on the third season of The Walking Dead, gamers should make no mistake: this miniseries kicks off to fantastic start, and is absolutely worth playing....
