The Outer Worlds was Obsidian’s stand out RPG about corrupt corporations in a distant solar system. The player could play through the game in any way they wanted. They could persuade their way past combat or sit back and let their companions do everything. That means there are a few missable trophies depending on the way they play. The game is relatively easy but there are some difficult trophies for those trophy hunters out there....

The Sinking City has been embroiled in controversy regarding its Steam release, as developer Frogwares alleges publisher Nacom went behind its back to put it on the storefront. Frogwares went so far as to advise consumers not to purchase the Steam version on Twitter, to which Nacon responded yesterday on the Steam page listing. The entire ordeal has been rife with drama, with Frogwares stating that Nacon pirated the title and then tricked Steam into selling it....

After over a year of speculation, Idris Elba’s character in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad (don’t call it Suicide Squad 2!) was revealed. CD Projekt Red launched a Kickstarter campaign for a Witcher-themed dice set that will come “in a variety of shapes and colors,” perfect for a DnD campaign, The Witcher board game, or just a fancy run of Monopoly. With 21 days still left to go, it has reached £140,783 of its £43,522 goal. That’s with 2,051 backers. This is a collaboration with Q Workshop and, as with any Kickstarter campaign, each pledge brings its own reward....

Jonathan Blow’s The Witness is now rated by the ESRB for the Xbox One, despite console exclusivity having been previously announced for the PlayStation 4. Jonathan Blow, well known indie developer of Braid and co-founder of the Indie Fund, is hard at work putting the finishing touches on his upcoming game, The Witness. Well it’s been one heck of a year. Say what you will about the current political climate, but in terms of video games, 2017 was amazing. There were way too many great games to play, but I did my best to sample at least seventy, or so. Can you believe that’s probably only half of this year’s biggest releases? Maybe that’s over exaggerating a bit, but I’m not far off. Now of these awesome titles we have Nintendo who has had a tremendous comeback after years of poor Wii U sales due to either bad games attached to the system, or none at all....

Mass Effect Legendary Edition launched today to resounding applause from fans. This remaster brought about various new settings and implementations such as adjustable subtitle size and a photo mode, but alas, no FOV slider. Fans have already remedied that. Low FOV can make people nauseous and so not having the option to adjust can be a hurdle to get into a game - this has been an issue with both Resident Evil Village and now Mass Effect, but fans have fixed this issue twice over....

WB Games Montreal, the studio that developed Batman: Arkham Origins, is returning to the DC lineup with Gotham Knights, an open-world action-adventure game set in Gotham after the death of Bruce Wayne. Players will be able to take on the role of four of the Caped Crusader’s successors, Robin, Batgirl, Red Hood, and Nightwing. Although Gotham Knights has strong connections to the Arkham universe established by Rocksteady, it takes place in its own separate continuity....

With controversy erupting regarding the Oculus Rift’s $599 price, Palmer Luckey describes the VR headset’s costs and apologizes for their pricing messaging. Oculus’ reveal of the Rift’s $599 price did not go out smoothly. Calling the high price controversial would be a significant understatement. But hile pre-orders for the $599 VR headset seem to be doing quite well, with recent patrons seeing their shipments targeting June instead of March, that hasn’t prevented Oculus and founder Palmer Luckey from recognizing that mistakes were made....

The developers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, PUBG Corp. have announced that “Fix PUBG” is over, but has also promised more fixes. The gaming house released a letter on Friday, confirming that the campaign to improve the game has run its course - for now, at least. According to PUBG’s executive producer Taesok Jang, the house’s developers will continue to focus on stability and gameplay quality, admitting that the company had previously overlooked certain aspects in their haste to get content out....
