A new mod for The Witcher 3 surfaced online following the controversy that surrounded the rumored casting of the character of Ciri for the upcoming Netflix adaptation. The mod gives players the ability to change Ciri’s skin color, which may have been inspired by the backlash aimed the TV adaptation’s supposed casting choice. This new mod for The Witcher 3 is merely a retexture of Ciri’s character design, which gives her a different skin color....

At San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Netflix took to Hall H in front of 6,000+ attendees and finally gave fans their first substantial look at The Witcher. In addition to a teaser trailer that is now available online, audience members got to see three scenes featuring each of the streaming series’ main characters, Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan). As an adaptation of the novels by Adrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher Netflix series is going to share some similarities with the CD Projekt Red video game franchise, while also deviating in key ways....

When Mihoyo released Genshin Impact’s last update, version 1.4, Invitation of Windblume, it introduced a new Hangout Event system. And while the new event series has been an adorable exploration into your relationships with the Genshin Impact’s cast, one Redditor encountered a horrifying surprise when he tried to meet up with Bennett. For the uninitiated, Hangout Events allow you to go on a little outing with your chosen character. You use the story keys picked up from doing daily quests to unlock the events, and right now you can choose from Barbara, Noelle, Chongyun, or Bennett....

It’s time for another release from the An Afternoon With Eevee series and this one is red hot. This series began in February with the titular Pokémon in this series kicking things off and will carry on through the fall. Fans of the Funko figure series have already seen the release of a pair of frolicking Eevee, a Vaporeon diving into the deep, a Glaceon ready to hit the ice, Sylveon enjoying the breeze in a field of flowers....

Grab your pizza and your nunchucks, because TMNT: Mutant Madness is now available as a free download on iOS and Android devices. Developed by Kongregate’s Chicago-based studio, Synapse, and published by Nickelodeon, TMNT: Mutant Madness picks up where the 1987 animated series left off, ushering in a brand-new adventure for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to take part in wherever you may be. I had the opportunity to check out a pre-release build of the game, and while I don’t usually gravitate towards these types of mobile titles, TMNT: Mutant Madness provides more than enough content - especially in the way of nostalgia - to have a permanent place on my phone....

Torchlight 3 is finally here, believe it or not. The game surprised dropped on Steam early access after a new trailer premiered during today’s PC Gaming Show. The long-awaited ARPG threequel has been at the top of many players’ lists, especially those of a certain age that were enchanted by the silly steam-punk style of Torchlight 2 back in 2012. Torchlight is a series known for imaginative characters and classes. You won’t find barbarians and paladins here....

A bunch of Twitch streamers are kicking themselves for not taking some sweet Mixer deals. Microsoft announced that they’d be shutting down their streaming service, Mixer, on July 22. The announcement came on Monday along with news that everyone who was currently streaming on Mixer would be transferred over to Facebook Gaming, the rival streaming service from Facebook. Facebook was reportedly offering sweet deals to go stream for them, including similar monetary compensation and a signing bonus of $2,500 for 90-day exclusive contracts....

Ubisoft announced this week that it is bringing its learn-to-play guitar title Rocksmith 2014 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game, which originally released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 last October, will now support 1080p visuals. But the biggest new feature may be the built-in support for the consoles’ streaming capabilities. The game comes packaged with the Rocksmith Real Tone Cable, a 1/4" to USB connection, which is what allows a real guitar to be hooked up to your system of choice....

If you were looking forward to playing Watch Dogs or The Crew then you’ll need to keep that enthusiasm up for quite a while longer. Ubisoft announced this week that Watch Dogs is being delayed until spring 2014 in order to give the development team enough time to finish polishing it up, before doubling up the bad news shortly afterward with the announcement that The Crew has also been delayed, and won’t come out until some time between July and September 2014....

It appears that a developer build of Ubisoft’s upcoming game Gods and Monsters has leaked through Google Stadia, with gameplay footage now circulating online. While the game is still in a rough state, it appears to be a legitimate playable build, which may lead to serious repercussions. Ubisoft will release five triple-a games by March 2021, with Gods and Monsters likely being one of them. While it isn’t entirely clear how the build made its way on to Stadia, it has now been removed....

The original Space Jam came out in 1996, when I was just four years old, and it was the first movie I have any memory of seeing. I’m sure my parents would have sat me down in front of The Little Mermaid or whatever to get a few minutes of peace and quiet, but Space Jam is the first film I have tangible memories of watching. I watched the VHS over and over, it got me into basketball and the Jordan-led Chicago Bulls, and I even had the PS1 Space Jam game - which mainly consisted of passing the ball to Lola and dribbling around the opposing team over and over again....

While some could argue that Sony’s support of PlayStation VR has slowed since the device launched late last year, there are still some exciting virtual reality games in the pipeline for PlayStation 4. One such game is a promising prequel to Until Dawn called The Inpatient, which now has a brief story trailer and a November 21st release date. The Inpatient is set 60 years before the events of Until Dawn, and takes place in the Blackwood Sanatorium, a location explored in the original game as well as the PSVR on-rails shooter spinoff, Rush of Blood....

The former Game of Thrones actor is riding high after starring in the popular film Sweet Girl on Netflix, with Season 2 of his Apple TV+ series See set to start streaming this weekend and a key role in Denis Villeneuve’s hotly anticipated Dune adaptation on deck. Oh, and as the DCEU continues to shift and change, he’s still the only Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, in sight....

It appears that a review bomb for Valorant is underway on Metacritic, as hundreds of accounts are uploading negative reviews. The negative reviews center around center on three claims. First, players are harshly critiquing both the graphics and gameplay. Second, users claim that the game is a clone of Valve’s CS:GO. Lastly, there are complaints that it’s made by Riot Games, who is owned by mega-corporation Tencent. Forbes points out that the complaints regarding gameplay, graphics, and technical performance seem a bit fishy, considering these weren’t complaints during the beta....

For a limited time, Valiant Hearts: The Great War is free on PC via the Uplay Store. The only thing players need to gain access to this game for free is a Ubisoft account, which just so happens to also be free. Of course, in order to play it, fans will have to download Uplay and launch the game through there. Valiant Hearts: The Great War was critically acclaimed when it released back in 2014, as it was praised for its evocative story, engaging puzzle-like gameplay, and emotional moments....

Valorant’s five-on-five gunfight is more than just pointing and firing at the enemy. After what seems like an eternity, VALORANT has finally entered its second Act. The newest wave of VALORANT content has finally arrived, featuring many features that have been requested by fans since the game’s beta. A slight nerf to Raze has many players rejoicing, casual players can enjoy a new gamemode, and competitive ranks have been reset. Patch 1.05 features five major changes to the game. Killjoy, a previously leaked Agent, has been added to the game....

Surprising absolutely no one, video games are still failing Arabs. As recently reported by our own Eric Switzer, a press event for Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 highlighted just how casual violence towards Arabs is in America, and the Western world at large. Years of demonisation and dehumanisation across all forms of media have contributed to a culture where it’s okay to dress people up as Arabs and have games journalists and influencers shoot at them for target practice....
