Gaining widespread media attention back in August, Donald Trump signed an executive order that would ban TikTok in the United States of America, with the president revealing the action was due to concerns about the app’s allegedly “malicious” collection of personal data. The move was something of a polarizing one, with many speaking out against Trump’s decision to restrict access, stating that TikTok wasn’t as significant of a threat as the US perceived it to be....

In anticipation of Halo Fest 2011 at PAX last week, news hit the web that our very first look at a vehicle from Halo 4 would actually come in another exclusive Xbox 360 title later this year. It would be in Forza Motorsport 4, that players could get up close and personal with the UNSC Warthog through the game’s Autovista mode which allows players to interactive with its variety of vehicles using Kinect -The only catch was that players couldn’t actually drive said vehicle....

The next Torchlight game has gone through some major changes over the past several months. Publisher Perfect World and developer Echtra Games are working to reacquaint fans with the new game, Torchlight 3. The latest update is a look at Torchlight 3’s newest feature, a progressive and customizable Fort system. The Fort system works exactly like it sounds. Tabletop game company CMON recently announced two new House Baratheon units that will soon be available for A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game. The Baratheon Sentinels and Champions of the Stag units are scheduled to arrive on the Asmodee webstore and your FLGS shelves this November 13. Both new products will be available to add to your tabletop wargaming armies in time for CMON’s expected events in 2021....

Valheim players have found a plethora of reasons to band together in the sandbox survival game. Teaming up can make fighting some of Valheim’s difficult bosses easier, and sometimes it’s just nice to explore the unknown with an extra body or two for security. One group of players have decided to take their co-op efforts to the next level, forming the aptly named “Body Recovery Squad.” These helpful Vikings are growing in numbers, and they help players to recover lost items after an untimely death....

Riot Games’ flagship first-person shooter VALORANT will be released on June 2nd after a nearly two month-long beta period. While Riot has been able to receive and incorporate fan feedback on the game since the beta began, players are still finding bugs and exploits as its release date grows nearer and nearer. The latest exploit to be widely shared among the VALORANT community, posted to the game’s subreddit by user Pinkytoe1994, allows players to artificially raise their econ rating, a stat tracked for each player per match that approximates a user’s ability to spend efficiently....

Valve has just made it tougher for you to purchase games on Steam from a different country than the one you’re actually living in. As most of us know, prices for various products can vary wildly depending on where you’re buying said product. That’s true for everything from automobiles to video games, and on no digital platform is it more true than Steam. The public debate surrounding whether or not video games lead to violence has a new study to reference. This newest study states that those who play violent video games are likelier to become more psychically aggressive than others. This effort is part of an international study that took place from 2010 - 2017 looking at over than 17,000 gamers from ages 9 to 19. Moreover, an analysis of 24 studies from various countries including the United States, Canada, and Japan found that those who played violent video games were more likely to be sent to the principal’s office for aggressive behavior, or hit a non-family member....

Games Workshop recently announced an upcoming season two edition of their beloved alternate Warhammer Fantasy universe setting fantasy football game Blood Bowl. Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman 1984 is currently one of the few major blockbusters still slated for a theatrical release in 2020, though the possibility of seeing the film delayed again has been on the minds of moviegoers and exhibitors. Now, Warner Bros. is reportedly on the verge of deciding whether to hold the DC film’s Christmas day release or postpone it until next summer. The decision to postpone Wonder Woman 1984 until Christmas 2020 already marked the third time the film had been delayed on account of the COVID-19 pandemic....

inXile Entertainment’s Wasteland 3 is widely considered one of the best turn-based RPGs in recent years, but it’s not without its problems. Since the game launched in late August, players have reported a number of bugs and performance issues that have been getting in the way of them enjoying the game’s deep role-playing experience. Luckily, inXile has dropped a new patch that addresses several of the worst offenders. Patch 1.1.2 is now live to download on Steam and GOG, with console versions set to go live early next week “following their certification release process....

Resident Evil Village’s Lady Dimitrescu has been the breakout gaming character of the year. Well before Village even released, Lady Dimitrescu - Alcina, if you’re nasty - dominated the marketing. She’s one of five bosses in the game, but the other four scarcely got a look in, with Lady Dimitrescu adorning bath towels, starring in Capcom’s TikTok feed, and being the subject of multiple memes, fan art, and comics. Now that the game is finally out, she’s also the star of several mods, so I spoke to the modding community to find out that the big deal is with the big vampire lady....

Looks like fans will finally get more news about The Idolmaster: Starlit Season during the New Year. Bandai Namco announced that a special livestream will happen on the franchise’s YouTube page in January 2021. The Idolmaster: Starlit Season was revealed back in early 2020. The only thing shared at the time was a teaser announcing the newest entry in the series. The next installment would follow other titles in the franchise where players become the producer of 765 Production, a record label in Japan controlling numerous idols looking to make it big in the music business....
