For many gamers, it goes without saying that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of 2015’s strongest candidates for game of the year. Not only have the fine developers over at CD Projekt Red made sure that the main content for Geralt of Rivia’s final bow would result in innumerable hours of questing and monster-slaying, but they have also gone above and beyond for fans by providing the community with boatloads of free DLC for the action-RPG....

After the successful release of season one of The Witcher on Netflix, season two sets out to bring even more characters from the books. The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Princess Ciri in their journey through the first two books that take place before the main events of the main Witcher storyline. The series is one of Netflix’s most popular shows that premiered December of 2019 and is based on the book series of the same name by the author Andrzej Sapkowski....

A fan-made set of concept images has shown just how great a Resident Evil – Code: Veronica could be if made today. Reddit user CODE_umb87 has shown off several examples of what a remake might look like, featuring Claire and Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, and several iconic villains, B.O.W.s, and locations from the original game. While the images look quite good, it is uncertain if Capcom will be remaking Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, now or in the future....

This week’s installment of WandaVision will reportedly be the longest episode yet and is rumored to last a bumper 47 minutes. Even though it feels like WandaVision has only just started, the nine-episode season is nearing its end. This coming Friday, episode eight will drop, and according to Plenty_Echidna_544 on Reddit, it will be the longest episode so far. The Reddit user claims episode eight will be 47 minutes long. The previous record belongs to episode five at 42 minutes....

Just two months ago, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate saw Sephiroth join the fight during a shocking reveal at The Game Awards. Now, Smash fans are in for another treat - but how is Masahiro Sakurai going to top the man who uses a full bottle of both shampoo and conditioner every day absolutely skewering Mario? Smash Ultimate roster additions are usually spaced roughly three to four months apart. Although no official confirmation has been given, a Smash announcement was the only clue Nintendo offered fans for its February 17 Direct, which is due to air later today....

Fans of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 are in for a treat, as news dropped today that the games will be getting a remaster. If you loved shredding with Tony, it looks like you’ll be able to once again. The Pro Skater 1 and 2 remaster will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 4. The remaster will include lots of original content with all of the nostalgia....

Fans are eagerly awaiting the over-the-top brutality of Mortal Kombat X and, while mainstays of the franchise have been slowly unveiled over the course of several months, we can’t help but wonder which guest characters will be featured within the game. Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has already confirmed that cameo combatants will be involved within the next entry of the gruesome fight title, and has just recently gone so far as to tease Twisted Metal’s Sweet Tooth for inclusion in the game....

Ubisoft Montpellier has posted some new job listings, which reveal that besides Beyond Good & Evil 2, the studio is also working on an unannounced game. A LinkedIn post from Ubisoft Montpellier is currently advertising for the role of Community Developer, although it explicitly says that it’s for both Beyond Good & Evil 2, and an unrevealed title. The post says, “We are looking for a Community Developer to manage the community strategy of Beyond Good and Evil 2 and an unannounced game....

The United Kingdom recorded record-breaking broadband usage on Tuesday, which happens to be the same day the Xbox Series X/S released. It could be seen as a coincidence, but a report is showing that the spike in internet usage is thanks to the launch of the Xbox Series X/S. The BBC has reported that “broadband traffic peaked at 18 terabits per second,” and that specifically, this is thanks to the Xbox Series X and Call of Duty....

Riot has promised to crack down on cheaters in their upcoming competitive shooter VALORANT, and it looks like the cheaters are already getting hit with the ban hammer. A streamer, who we won’t name, was banned from both Riot and Twitch yesterday while streaming himself cheating at VALORANT. In the clip, you can hear his teammates catch on and call him out just moments before the ban screen comes up. The match was terminated, the streamer’s account was banned, and shortly thereafter, his Twitch account was banned too....

The Fortnite community has grown by leaps and bounds ever since the game’s launch in 2017, and one month ago that community changed a man’s life forever. That man is VoiceOverPete, and he makes voice over content on a website called Fiverr - or at least he used to. Last month, a YouTuber asked Pete to produce a short Fortnite-based voiceover including a few lines about sending credit card information, and VoiceOverPete delivered....

The Redskins are no more, and in an upcoming Madden NFL 21 update, the name will be replaced by a generic title. It will remain like this until a new name and logo is provided by the sports team. This comes after the news that the Washington Redskins will change their name and logo. The original name was denounced by Native American groups and many folks on social media as part of the Black Lives Matter movement....

Aiden Pearce, the main character from the original Watch Dogs, is making a triumphant return in Watch Dogs Legion. He’ll be included as part of the Season Pass post launch content and comes with his own dedicated story arc. The news came during today’s Ubisoft Forward event, as the company revealed details about several of its high-profile upcoming titles. Beyond the fact that Pearce will be a fully playable character, we also learned that the Season Pass will come with additional DeadSec missions and a four new characters....

The Pathless, a PS5 launch title from the makers of Abzu, tasks players with sprinting and flying through an open world while firing a bow and arrow at floating crystals and corrupted beasts. The game’s movement revolves around the bow, and the PS5’s Dualsense controller will enhance the experience on Sony’s next-gen console. Unlike most games that feature ranged weaponry, the challenge in The Pathless does not come from aiming at targets....

Deaderpool’s MC Command Center (MCCC) for The Sims 4 is a huge mod on its own, but MC Woohoo is a great addition to it. It’s an optional module, so you can use MCCC without it, but it’s definitely a worthy addition. Wait - doesn’t MC Command Center already have pregnancy settings? I hear you ask. Yes, it does. But, MCCC’s pregnancy module and MC Woohoo do completely different things, and as it turns out, these modules cover far more than just pregnancy and woohoo....

It’s been 10 years since the death of Paul Naschy, Spain’s finest purveyor of horror, and it still seems somehow unreal and unfair. He was 75 years old and boasted an acting career that lasted from 1960 to only months before he died, with well over a hundred credits (often lead roles) to his name, yet Naschy still had so much to give. Despite suffering long-term depression and undergoing major heart surgery, his spirit, enthusiasm and unpretentious adoration of genre cinema made him feel irrepressible....

The Witcher does a great job of making the rewards useful to the player, not only a showpiece to hang on the wall. All the trophies that players receive in-game are both worth something and come with functional perks, from a boost to the witcher’s wallet to some significant damage upgrades. Depending on where the players are in the game will determine what prize they hunt down. Nothing of value ever comes easy though, with some of the best trophies coming after difficult battles with some of the trickiest monsters to inhabit the continent....
