Microsoft has finally revealed the price of the Xbox Series S, the weaker of its two next-gen machines. Digital only, the Xbox Series S promises next-gen performance in the smallest Xbox console ever. The price reveal wasn’t planned to happen this way. Microsoft was prompted to pull the trigger because of a leak. This means the leak was accurate, which means the other details in the leak - that Microsoft is yet to confirm - are likely accurate as well....

Professional Super Smash Bros. player Elliot “Ally” Carroza-Oyarce has stated that he will be retiring from the game after a confession that he lied about a relationship with a fellow pro player, which he previously denied. The colleague in question was Zack “CaptainZack” Lauth, now 17 years old. At the time of the incident, Elliot was 26 years old while Zack would have been 16. There is no issue relating to consent in this case, as both meet the age of consent....

The competitive shooter Valorant exploded onto the scene earlier this year, taking that familiar technical FPS gameplay and mixing it with a colorful cast of characters with different abilities. For many Valorant is a cross between the twitch style gameplay of Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch due to it’s roster of different classes that caters to a wide range of players. For now, the game features 13 different agents players can pick from, though a new one appears to be right around the corner thanks to a series of leaks....

The battle for virtual reality supremacy is really hotting up, with more and more challengers entering the fray. After the Facebook-owned Oculus Rift and Sony’s own Project Morpheus both took initial strides into the world of commercially-viable VR, two more major players revealed themselves. Valve announced the Vive this month, in partnership with smartphone manufacturer HTC, whilst Microsoft’s HoloLens will attempt to hybridize augmented reality and VR. In order to succeed, each of the companies will have to offer something to entice would-be customers....

The news that World of Darkness fans around the globe have been dreading to hear is now official, as Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 has been delayed until 2021. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is a video game adaptation of the horror-themed tabletop RPG. It’s the sequel to one of the best (and buggiest) PC RPGs of the 2000s. The game puts the players in the shoes of a newly created vampire, as they try to navigate the different factions and supernatural races that run the city of Seattle....

The developers for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 are working to fix some of the more “extreme" spikes in difficulty caused by the random spawning AI. Most people who have tried it have good things to say about Warhammer: Vermintide 2, but they all agree that at times the difficulty can become just a bit much. That mostly has to do with the way enemies spawn, which is never in the same spot twice and mostly random....
