When the Television Academy announced nominees for the 72nd Academy Awards it was Netflix looking golden. Netflix ended up breaking the record for most nominations in a single year with 160 in total. HBO also came out a winner today with Watchmen hauling in 26 overall nominations while the Disney+ series The Mandalorian ranked with a respectable 18....

The release of Resident Evil Village seems to be another success for Capcom so far. Early reviews were overwhelmingly positive, but most importantly, eager fans are now able to spend some quality time getting killed by Lady Dimitrescu. However, none are likely more excited than actor Maggie Robertson, who finally relevels that she’s the talent behind the tall lady. Robertson revealed her involvement with the game in a snap of her in a more casual Dimitrescu-esque get-up, looking every bit as tall as the 9’6” vampire that has stolen the hearts of thousands....

Earlier this week Game Informer teased an exciting reveal for their February cover and it wasn’t long after that Evolve was unveiled for gamers to begin getting exciting about. And rightfully so considering the co-op shooter comes from Turtle Rock Studios, creators of Left 4 Dead. This time around, instead of four players teaming up to fight off and survive against hordes of fast-moving zombies, Evolve pits players against a single, giant beast, one that’s controlled by a fifth player, making the title co-operative and asymmetrically competitive at the same time....

Square Enix recently announced that it will make at least three separate Nier announcements at Tokyo Game Show on September 24 - one for Nier Replicant, one for Nier: Automata, and one for Nier Reincarnation. The news comes from the official Nier page on Twitter, where details of what to expect were recently posted online. The tweet also includes a link to the official Nier Tokyo Game Show livestream, which is due to air two weeks from today at 6am PT/11am ET/2pm BST....

Indie game developer Unexpected reveals new gameplay of As Far As The Eye, a turn-based city-builder with animal-style characters. The game is less like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and more like an adorable, mystical version of Cities: Skylines. With a new gameplay trailer, Unexpected has confirmed that As Far As The Eye will be released on PC on September 10, 2020. The game follows a moving village of characters called “Pupils” as they try to escape an incoming flood by traveling towards “The Eye,” which is the center of their world....

Following in the footsteps of CD Projekt Red’s collaboration with Adidas, Ubisoft has just announced its partnership with Reebok to bring an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla shoe line. With only a teaser video to go by, fans of the franchise can’t wait to see the kind of sneakers a viking would wear. Dropping the teaser on Ubisoft Nordic’s Twitter account, the French company put the Valhalla logo against a backdrop of northern lights and engraved concrete, before the insignia merged with Reebok’s logo....
