Any franchise with multiple incarnations will feature dozens of different kinds of characters. Transformers is no different, with factions of different bots that are far beyond simply being Autobots or Decepticons. The amount of different kinds of bots are almost too numerous to count (unless you have a very big toy collection) so the reveal that Transformers: EarthSpark is set to have a new kind of Transformer is a welcome one....
While most of the popular E3 games are set for a 2020 release, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is something we can look forward to this year. It’s slated for a Fall 2019 release, and had a pretty finished-looking demo on the E3 show floor. Attendees were treated to a level starring the knight Pontius in which he partook in light platforming, some sword slashing, and a lot of redirecting light beams with his shield....
Onechanbara is one of my favorite pieces of pulpy trash. The series is a well-designed series of hack-n’-slash romp that could best be described as, “Dynasty Warriors with zombies and cameltoe.” They’re fun, frivolous, and full of campy exploitation for the whole family - what’s not to love? Last year, we heard tell of an upcoming remake of the original PS2 game, due out this fall for PS4 and PC. However, in the wake of… uh, everything else going on in the world, it’s one of those releases that just sort of slipped through the cracks....
Naughty Dog releases the patch notes for the latest update to its action-adventure title, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, detailing campaign and multiplayer fixes. Although Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End received rave reviews prior to its official release last week, the developers at Naughty Dog actively worked on and put out gameplay fixes for the title over the weekend with the game’s Update 1.03. Of course, this was done not only to squash any bugs or glitches in the title, but also to simply enhance the experience for fans of what has been described as the last game in the series....
Valorant Game Director Joe Ziegler and his boss, Executive Producer Anna Donlon, allowed Twitch Streamer Ben “Dr. Lupo” Lupo to interview them on one of his streams a few days ago about the ins and outs of Valorant. And while they did provide interesting insights on the thoughts behinds some of their design choices, they did miss one crucial question: Does Valorant have skill-based matchmaking (SBMM)? Riot Games’ upcoming title will be an online FPS after all, so it only begs the question, and right after the interview was over Twitter user “Qweets,” made sure to ask it....
A snowball fight-themed game mode may be coming to VALORANT sometime soon, as revealed by data miner ValorLeaks. Details regarding gameplay or rules of the new mode have not been revealed, as only the recurring term “snowball” was found among the code in the recent Act III update. This may be teasing a winter event to go along with the game’s new snow-covered map, Icebox. VALORANT data miner ValorLeaks found a few lines of code suggesting a snowball game mode, taking to Twitter to break the news....
The VALORANT competitive developers have teased the potential addition of a team ranked matchmaking mode in a recent blog post. The concept of a separate competitive queue option for full teams has long been thrown around in the VALORANT community, with many professional players endorsing the idea. VALORANT, Riot Games’ 5v5 tactical shooter, currently has a competitive matchmaking mode open for any queue sizes. Players can queue on their own or compete with up to four friends, provided they all stand within three ranks of each other....
Just when Steam users thought they were safe from the platform’s wallet crushing sales, Valve has made it even easier for their customers to purchase content from their service. Today Valve announced the beta version of their mobile app for iOS and Android devices. Prior to this smartphone users had access to the Steam website via their mobile browsers, and while purchases could be made, the experience was limited given the usual tiny screens....
DC FanDome kicked off with the Wonder Woman 1984 panel, which featured the film’s stars and director fielding pre-recorded questions from fans. One in particular needed no introduction: tennis superstar Venus Williams, who had a very on-brand hypothetical situation to pose. “Who would win in a tennis match,” Williams asked Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig, “Wonder Woman or Cheetah?” Wiig, who plays the villainous Cheetah, was sure she’d emerge victorious. Wonder Woman would have a gold racquet to match her armor, which would be too heavy to swing well....
Marvel’s Avengers is currently on the long road to recovery, though March 18 proved that things are looking up for the struggling game. Not only did Hawkeye release alongside next-gen versions of the game that bring major performance improvements and visual upgrades, but the game’s Square Enix Presents showing clued fans in on what is coming next. A roadmap finally provided a look at the game’s future updates, confirming that there is fresh content on the way, while Black Panther was officially revealed as well....

Any player looking to recruit some new blood in Watch Dogs: Legion will need to pay attention to the traits. Perks are new to the series and alter the way that a player uses a character. These traits can be both good and bad. For instance, some make it so characters go on shopping sprees. They spend the player’s hard-earned cash frivolously. Other perks allow the player to have a positive effect of faster downloads or shorter arrest times....
Originally planned for a December 3 release, Watch Dogs: Legion’s multiplayer mode has been delayed into 2021. The team at Ubisoft is dedicated to fixing issues with the single-player campaign before releasing new content – starting with TU 2.20 this week. An update on the official Ubisoft blog reads, “As part of our commitment to fixing the game’s issues, we’ve decided to delay the Online mode of Watch Dogs: Legion to early 2021....
After lengthy delays and long periods of silence, Watch Dogs Legion finally got its moment in the sun thanks to the Ubisoft Forward summer event. The title led off the show with an extremely stylish animated trailer as well as a ton of new details in a gameplay focused one. Fans saw multiple ways in which they could tackle missions thanks to the ability to recruit basically any NPC character in the game....

Only hours ago, we were informed of the release date for the upcoming season 2 of The Witcher on Netflix.
