The second major expansion for Borderlands 3 launches this week and players are seeing another classic character return. This appears to be a pattern for Gearbox Software at this point with its downloadable content plans going forward. Last December with Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot expansion, fans were re-introduced to Timothy Lawrence, aka the Doppleganger class from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The recently released Guns, Love, and Tentacles DLC already revealed the return of Gaige the Mechromancer, another DLC vault hunter originally seen in Borderlands 2....

The April community survey from The Sims team was more in-depth than in previous months. ThunderCats are on the mov(i)e! After years of false starts and announcements that didn’t go anywhere, it seems that the beloved ‘80s cartoon has a giant sized champion behind it. Adam Wingard, director of Godzilla vs. Kong, is working on a ThunderCats film that will be a hybrid live action/CGI movie. Wingard will direct the ThunderCats movie and co-write the script with Simon Barrett. This raises a lot of questions about the film, especially considering the recent flux in ThunderCats media....

A ton of news has been dropping lately concerning the fan-favorite Final Fantasy franchise. Not only did part one of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake get a release date at E3 2019, but a remastered version of Final Fantasy 8 was also announced. And now, it seems that the fan-favorite Final Fantasy 7 character, Tifa Lockhart, will be coming to the spin-off fighting game, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. She is joining Cloud Strife and Sephiroth as playable characters from Final Fantasy 7 in the spin-off fighting game and will feature her original look....

Bethesda tycoon Todd Howard has recently revealed a lot of key information pertaining to the publisher’s recent projects. One tidbit teased Bethesda’s new game engine behind the upcoming The Elder Scrolls 6 and space-RPG Starfield. Speaking to GameIndustry.biz writer James Batchelor during the Develop: Brighton Digital 2020 conference, Todd Howard noted that Bethesda’s new engine rivaled the power behind previous Elder Scrolls titles Morrowind and Oblivion. Howard also acknowledged Bethesda’s increase in staff, as the engine required a larger team to work on it behind the scenes....

With much of the world under quarantine due to COVID-19, live, weekly sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, or SNL, has come back on air after a one month absence with Saturday Night Live At Home, a prerecorded take on the show, filmed from cast member’s homes. And the guest host of this week’s show was none other than Tom Hanks. Interestingly enough, it was never announced that Tom Hanks would be hosting Saturday Night Live At Home....
