The rumors have been confirmed, and Ubisoft Forward is back with another games showcase for us. This event is scheduled for Thursday, September 10 at 12:00 pm PDT. Rumors flew yesterday that Ubisoft was planning another live-stream event after doing one in late July. Of course, today we have solid confirmation that this is indeed happening. Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier was the source of that rumor. Where he got that information is unknown, but it did prove to be true, and now we have more announcements and game reveals to digest—including news about the game formerly known as Gods and Monsters....

Boss fights are great ways to test a player’s understanding of mechanics in any game, shooters especially. Warframe grants players god-like powers while providing unprecedented levels of mobility for the player to use. This sandbox should allow for some over-the-top and fantastic boss fights, and it sometimes does. Other times, the bosses in Warframe can be downright frustrating, plagued with invulnerability phases and boring mechanics. Certain bosses need to be killed repeatedly in order to earn new Warframe components or exclusive weapons, which can amplify the fun or dread a boss evokes....

Some super innovative Alice in Wonderland fans have created their very own incredible (and suitably creepy) game environments using the free game development software Core. Core is aimed at making the design and publishing of games as accessible and streamlined as possible, with the help of the Unreal Engine. They describe themselves as a “radically accessible game construction kit, content exchange, and game-playing platform, all in one.” A recent endeavor held by Core in collaboration with American McGee (Alice: Madness Returns) was an Alice in Wonderland Art Contest entitled “Through The Looking Glass,” for which anyone could submit their Wonderland-themed game worlds created using the Core software....

In a very straightforward teaser from the official Shadow Warrior Twitter account, developer Flying Wild Hog has all but confirmed that Shadow Warrior 3 will be making an appearance soon. With Devolver Digital holding its annual insane fest that is the “Devolver Direct” next week, that is probably the unannounced game the publisher was teasing. Shadow Warrior 2 released back in 2016, so the timeframe adds up....

Like all excellent but complicated fantasy plots, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is not without its plot holes and inconsistencies. This drawback of making a fantasy world in a video game extends to Hearts of Stone, one of the two expansions for the game and is often considered as more interesting than the main quest. Certain things in Hearts of Stone don’t make sense either because much information about them was omitted or because certain elements just don’t fit in a video game....
The House of Respite is a location in The Witcher 3 that is very important to the Nilfgaardian army. The Nilfgaardian soldiers built this location to give them a social place to gather after work and relax for a while. Unfortunately, the House of Respite is easily missed by a lot of players because it doesn’t have any relevance to any quests that revolve around the Nilfgaardian army. Since a lot of players missed the House of Respite, there are also a lot of things that they missed inside of it that went unnoticed to both players that never got a chance to explore the location and players that thoroughly explored the House....
After all this time, we have finally gotten some real news regarding the next season of The Witcher.
