Those in the video game industry and consumers were given some much-needed relief today, as the Trump Administration seems to be holding off on its proposed 25% tariff that would have affected gaming consoles. Last month saw President Donald Trump’s administration propose a hefty $300 billion set of tariffs against China in its back and forth trade war, which would have hit gaming consoles by 25%. However, talks between Mr. Trump and the Chinese President Xi Jinping at the G20 Summit in Japan this past week resulted in an announcement today by the president to delay those tariffs for now, and hopefully indefinitely....

While Ubisoft is poised to continue its scheduled deployment of Season Two content for Rainbow Six Siege with a new operator duo later this month, two game directors have revealed that some behind-the-scenes research may lead to changes in the game’s strategy as a whole. As it currently stands, defensive operators in the game can appear outside for 2 seconds before their position gets revealed to the opposing side, but Ubisoft is considering removing this timer to immediately flag defenders who step outside....

Although the physical edition has yet to be officially announced, the box art looks convincing enough to lend credence to these reports. Sticking to the game’s minimalist art style, the cover depicts the goose standing triumphantly atop a pile of random items that it presumably made off with, a perfect encapsulation of the kind of mischief players can get up to in Untitled Goose Game. Untitled Goose Game is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a retail version reportedly coming to the PS4 and Switch on September 22....

At 2017’s The International tournament, Valve announced it was working on Artifact, a digital card game based off its popular MOBA Dota 2. While a release date wasn’t given at the time, eager players now know when they can get their hands on the title. The game is set to hit Steam on November 28th of this year and will be playable on Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems. 2022 has been a hectic year for gaming. Last night was an… interesting night while I was playing Madden 21. It started off innocently enough, as I went through my online Franchise team’s practice session while waiting for my friend and this week’s opponent to start up the game on his end. Madden 21’s matchmaking leaves much to be desired in Franchise mode, requiring both players to join the match lobby at essentially the same time. After about 15-minutes of being unsuccessful, we were finally able to play our game....

Microsoft Flight Simulator is an absolute triumph.
