While players have been doing their best to enjoy the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War alpha, many fans have been put off by the skill-based matchmaking in the game. While fans were quick to call out how older CoD games did not have the feature, a Black Ops Cold War developer has pointed out that they did indeed have SBMM. While Black Ops Cold War is different from other games in the franchise in many ways, skill-based matchmaking is apparently not one of them....

Bruce Boxleitner, the original actor for Tron, is reunited with his light suit from the film after nearly four decades apart. Disney+ has a new docuseries on. Called Prop Culture, it follows host Dan Lanigan as he tracks down and talks to some of the original actors that actually used the props in his vast collection. The latest trailer features Tron actor Bruce Boxleitner who played the digital protagonist in the 1982 classic film....

Many gamers who are home due to self-isolation are turning to the Twitch streaming service, reportedly. So many viewers are watching Twitch right now that the streaming platform has set a record for hours viewed. According to StreamLabs, a partner app for Twitch streamers, Twitch surpassed 3.1 billion in hours watched over the past three months. Compared to the past quarter in 2019, Twitch’s viewership has risen 17% overall. It’s not just viewership numbers increasing, though....

With the next generation of consoles getting ever closer to launch, millions of gamers around the world are hotly anticipating the latest news and information on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. For a couple of hours thousands of viewers watched Twitch’s stream for the Chat’s Choice Awards, believing that it had managed to get an actual PlayStation 5 for the event. It turned out to be expert level trolling....

A stand out title when it was revealed at E3 2012, Ubisoft Montreal’s new game Watch Dogs continues to capture interest from potential players - exceeding already high expectations with an impressive gameplay demo at E3 2013. While the interconnected (and hackable) world of the title has been an intriguing setup from the time of its announcement - which also included a brief, albeit very mysterious, tease at multiplayer. Surprisingly, few details were revealed over the course of the subsequent year, and even though the E3 2013 demo gave us a taste of the combat as well as competitive online functionality, there are still a lot of Watch Dogs questions left to be answered....

Amidst controversy, Ubisoft Massive informs gamers that its highly successful game, The Division, will be seeing some changes to reinvigorate the title’s open world. As of late, Tom Clancy’s The Division has been somewhat of a polarizing title within the industry. There’s no question that the game has been a runaway success for Ubisoft, smashing sales records in the process, but the community surrounding the game has been impacted by a medley of glitches....

As many will no doubt have seen earlier today, a new leak from the PlayStation Store revealed that a sixth game in the Far Cry series is coming to consoles very soon, with the cover art and release date hitting the marketplace. Even after a very messy split back in 2014, Naughty Dog provides a heartfelt thanks to Amy Hennig during the end credit sequence of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Nathan Drake’s swan song is nearly here and if our review is anything to go by, fans of the franchise are in for a treat. In a recent interview between CNET and Doug Bowser, President of Nintendo of North America, it was revealed that there currently are no plans to release a more powerful, upgraded Nintendo Switch console to replace the current iteration. Instead, the focus appears to be on the newly announced Switch Lite, which will be priced roughly one third less than the original console. With that in mind, we wonder why Nintendo has decided not to announce a newer version of the current Switch....

A survival game can’t possibly be a survival game without some sort of fishing mechanic. Fortunately, Valheim, a Viking-themed game that drops players in the middle of a world infused with Norse cosmology, ticks that box off. Fish are one of the many food sources in Valheim, extremely useful when it comes to restoring both health and stamina. The game’s fishing mechanic is one of the more realistic out there, and unlike other survival titles like Minecraft, the requisite fishing rod cannot be crafted....

Since Valheim released via Steam Early Access in February it has enjoyed a meteoric rise to popularity. In addition to lending his voice and motion-capture performance, it has been confirmed that actor Vin Diesel is actively working on the development of ARK 2. The game is the sequel to ARK: Survival Evolved, a recently announced title expected to launch at some point in 2022. Studio Wildcard’s first graphics card-punishing dinosaur survival game has evolved over the years. Launching in Early Access in 2015, the game didn’t see a full launch until two years later....

Or at least that’s what Wanda Maximoff thinks in the latest clip from WandaVision episode 7. In advance of WandaVision episode 7, premiering tomorrow on Disney+, Marvel has unveiled a decently lengthy first look at the episode. The reveals therein are vast. For starters, it’s clear that Wanda is experiencing a bit of a magical hangover from her Halloween barrier expansion....

Warzone was in a stalemate until the massive update on December 16th. After nearly a year, the meta has shifted quite a lot. Many players considered the M4 and MP5 as the meta at launch. After the Grau was added, the gun took over Warzone for several months before it was nerfed. Similarly, the Bruen was the best gun in the game for a couple of months before it was nerfed....

Over the past year, players have essentially created a new language to communicate efficiently in Warzone. Many of the terms avid players use are vague and they often have a hidden meaning. Players use these special terms to inform their squad mates of enemy locations, destinations on the map, and other team strategies. Warzone players know that there are several overused terms that have double entendres. Teammates seem to always have the enemy “one shot” and dead squad mates always feel like an aimbotter killed them....

Warzone players now get an alert when a rival is dropping in overhead and (as is becoming customary for the game) the backlash has already begun. Warzone might be a small part of the behemoth franchise that is Call of Duty, but in some ways, Infinity Ward is struggling to tread water in the battle royale world. Warzone is CoD’s best BR offering to date by some distance, but since BR fanatics are a hard group to please, the game has already hit quite a few stumbling blocks since its launch....

A new pistol is headed to Call of Duty Warzone, one more broken than the Diamatti or, as Cold War Zombies players call it, the Die-A-Lotti. The Sykov pistol can be modified to hold 80 rounds, it’s fully automatic, and it can be dual-wielded. This pistol isn’t out just yet but players have found it in Warzone’s Plunder mode. It’s unclear if it’s releasing in the next season, but if the responses to its leaking are anything to go by, Activision needs to fine-tune it....

The Lunar New Year, perhaps the largest holiday in China and other parts of Asia, is not a commonly celebrated event in the west. Some games, largely MMOs and live service titles, do hold in-game events or offer Lunar New Year content, but it’s rare to see single-player games do so. That’s why it’s a fun surprise to find that Ubisoft has released some Lunar New Year content for Watch Dogs Legion....
