The Walking Dead season 10 has lasted longer than anyone ever expected. Due to delays in filming season 11 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the show’s 10th season will go down in history as its longest at 22 episodes in total. With next Sunday’s finale, titled “Here’s Negan,” the season finally goes out with a loud bang. Based on the comic book storyline of the same name by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard, “Here’s Negan” plays largely like an origin story for the villain....

Christmas may still be a few days away, but Witchmas is here for fans of The Witcher, thus putting an end to the show’s holiday social media campaign. Ever since December 15, The Witcher had been teasing fans on Twitter with selected images and footage from the show while it’s currently getting ready for its second season. The latest reveal is the logo for the upcoming Netflix anime, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf....

Even though it was released more than five years ago, The Witcher 3 continues to retain a very active player base. The game has hundreds of hours worth of content that players can experience, from side quests to contracts to even rare items they can acquire to aid them on ’the path’. Though the game allows players to experiment with their play styles, a trusty sword is always useful when bombs, potions, and signs run out....

Now is a great time to be playing World of Warcraft thanks to the buffs available in game. For starters, the Winds of Wisdom buff that provides 100% bonus experience has been extended through to the release of the Shadowlands pre patch. Since the next expansion does not yet have an official release date, it looks like the buff will be around for quite some time, and now is the best opportunity to level up an alt....

This week in World of Warcraft brings more signs suggesting that Ray tracing will be available with the upcoming launch of the Shadowlands expansion, as a new Ray Traced Shadows option appears visible in the current alpha build. Although the feature is not currently enabled for use, it would make sense to come with the newest drop in content later this year and given how dated the game looks compared newer offerings in the genre, will be a welcome change....

It’s a full slate this week in the indie gaming scene with something for everyone. From playformers and RTS to JRPGs and old people mayhem simulators — which is an actual genre, apparently — you’re bound to find an indie title or two that you can check out this weekend. Old games are in. Retro is hot right now. It seems like every indy title and half the AAA games are trying to cash in on 80s and 90s nostalgia as they attempt to recreate the classics. Heck, half of the games are remastered versions of video gamings greatest hits or spiritual successors to the series that are doomed to wallow in a sequaless void. This isn’t to say that any of this is a bad thing....

I remember watching Titanic on VHS when the movie was released on two separate cassettes. What a wild ride it was to watch James Cameron’s interpretation of such a tragic event play out right in front of my eyes. I didn’t necessarily buy into the then-hype of the movie being one of the greatest of all time, but I did find myself fascinated with learning more about the giant ship that now sits dormant at the bottom of the ocean....

Lara Croft is one of the most recognizable video game characters of all time. You may think was only due to her physical attractiveness, but Lara Croft represents a huge shift in the way that video game developers marketed their characters. The first Tomb Raider game appeared on the 32-bit consoles of the day, which allowed 3D models to be used in a way that the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo could not....

When you’re a fighting franchise that’s been around for a few generations, you tend to accumulate a lot of characters. The Mortal Kombat series is a prime example - with every game in the franchise getting a host of new characters to use. Later in the series, the Mortal Kombat team overwhelmed players with too many new faces - making it difficult to get excited about any one specifically. However, the most recent game in the franchise, Mortal Kombat, addressed this problem by going back to the beginning of the story and retelling the narrative, giving fans the chance to play as old favorites with a few new twists to their personas....

There’s more than meets the eye to World of Warships’ newest update. The newest update to World of Warships has added Transformers as playable commanders. This new event also features a variety of ship skins and emblems, all featuring or based on classic Autobots and Decepticons. Until October 5, players have the chance to unlock Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Rumble as playable characters. Interestingly, it seems as though these characters are not what some people might expect when hearing that Transformers are coming to a game that revolves entirely around vehicles....

Leave it to the internet to make a competitive tournament out of a ridiculous game. The ever expanding series of online gaming tournaments, Twitch Rivals, has just added a new game to its repertoire. The hilarious Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will be entering the fray as competitors and viewers alike have been begging Twitch for a chance to watch the chaos. With more than 100 events scheduled for 2020, Twitch Rivals has quickly become one of the most recognizable and trustworthy locations for watching esports, and it makes a lot of sense....

Having planted its flag firmly on PS4 and Xbox One territory and being a dominant force in the world of eSports, Twitch is a Very Big Deal. Allowing players to stream the games that they are playing, Twitch and its 45 million monthly users have managed to change the face of the industry with live streams of games in progress now being a standard for developers. It’s a way to showcase new content and behind-the-scenes development while interacting with the community....

Although E3 has been canceled, Ubisoft is still ready to show off everything in its upcoming game lineup to eager fans. A new teaser has been released revealing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and Hyper Scape, which should be the major focus of the upcoming Ubisoft Forward showcase taking place on Sunday, July 12. Hopefully, Ubisoft will be more forthcoming with showing actual gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which was supposedly set for the Microsoft Xbox 20/20 showcase in May, but that left fans largely disappointed with little more than pre-rendered footage not representative of the actual gameplay perspective....

We’re about a month removed from the launch of Ubisoft’s promising sequel to 2016’s The Division, and many are counting on the title acting as a vast improvement to its relatively underwhelming predecessor. While those who’ve gotten an early glimpse at the game seem to be singing its praises, Ubisoft seems wary of its partnership with Epic Games on PC—so much so that they plan on incentiveising pre-orders by bundling them with some of their older triple-A games....

Remember Season 11 and how you couldn’t play Destiny for more than five minutes without stumbling across a dozen Umbral Engrams? I’m being slightly hyperbolic, but it really did feel like Season of Arrivals was packed full of loot, and a large part of that was due to the Prismatic Recaster and Umbral Engram system. That system was relatively well-received by the Destiny 2 community, and since the community has been complaining all season about the lack of loot in Beyond Light, Bungie seems to think that it’s a good idea to bring that system back....
