Developer Toby Fox became a household name in the video game industry after the release of Undertale in 2015, with Sans becoming a Mii Costume in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Fox developing music for Pokemon Sword and Shield afterward. The first chapter in Undertale’s follow-up Deltarune released late 2018, and it seems fans who are waiting for more will be getting an update soon. The September 10 issue of the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu will be celebrating Undertale’s fifth anniversary, and part of that coverage will apparently include an update and screenshots for Deltarune Chapter 2, according to a post by Famitsu today translated by sites like DualShockers....

I love Cyberpunk 2077’s city of blinding lights and violent delights. It’s a beautiful illusion. Like all open-worlds, you have to suspend your disbelief and meet it halfway for it to fully convince you. The city itself is a stunning achievement, almost incomprehensible in its layout - after 100 hours of exploring, I’m still in awe. The more time you spend in Night City, though, the more cracks appear. They don’t take away from the fact it’s an incredible game - at least on PC - but you can see where the scope was pulled back during development....

THQ’s remaining intellectual properties have finally found a home after the now defunct publisher’s second auction closed. This particular auction included fan-favorite franchises like Darksiders, Homeworld, and Red Faction. While we know that the THQ auction had a total of 17 final bids, and it generated between $6 and $7 million, there is no word on where each property ended up. Moreover, we don’t know how much of the total sum went towards purchasing each property....

Thunderful Group, a Swedish video game holding company based in Gothenburg, has acquired German developer and publisher Headup, founded in January 2009 by Dieter Schoeller. The company is best known for publishing the Bridge Constructor series of games developed by ClockStone. The Swedish group will pay $6M in cash with up to an additional $7.3M million in cash and shares based on Headup’s performance over the next three years. The acquisition is expected to be finalized by March 31....

When it was announced that a Resident Evil 6 demo would be packaged alongside retail copies of Capcom’s action RPG Dragon’s Dogma, it seemed like a perfect bit of cross promotion.
