The streaming platform Twitch has had a turbulent couple of weeks as there has been an outcry about the abuse that streamers give and receive through the service. A great deal of discourse was generated when Twitch responded to abuse allegations with a blanket statement that seemed to appease rather than take action. Since then, many streamers have been making statements about the issues on the platform and it now seems that Twitch has made a more active response to its problems....
It appears that a new animated emote on Twitch mimics the notification of a donation, and trolls are using it to spam the accounts of streamers. What makes it worse is that this trolling is actually being encouraged by creator Redvines, who is a Twitch Partner. They appear to be asking people to take a screenshot of the interaction so that they could make a video out of it. The emote in question made it appear as though viewers were donating $10000 or $100,000 to the streamer’s channel....
Ubisoft has formally disclosed the games that will first be available for its upcoming Uplay+ subscription service launching on September 3 for Windows PC. For $19.99 per month, subscribers will have unlimited access to download over 100 games, including classic games and new releases, all with the most up to date premium content packs that are available. Players who sign up for Uplay+ will have access to a free trial of the service from September 3 to September 30, including access to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint closed beta on September 5....

The primary focus of Valheim is for a group of viking raiders to survive in a hostile land together. This emphasis on teamwork and cooperative play is present throughout the game, but that doesn’t mean that developer Iron Gate AB completely overlooked player vs player elements. Though they tend to be far more common than cooperative games currently, many titles end up choosing between either allowing cooperative play or including competitive game modes, a trend that is leading fans to question whether or not this title features both....
When Valheim came out and quickly blew up to nearly seven million players, developer Iron Gate Studio came out with an ambitious plan to drop four big content updates in 2021, starting with the Hearth & Home update. Monster Energy’s newly announced streaming series will pit some of the best athletes against each other virtually.
