Let’s say you finished Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ main story. What do you do next? Well, most players will want to find a way to get their hands on some of the game’s best loot: Chaotic and Volatile gear. In Borderlands 3, players could squeeze more content out of the game through Mayhem Mode, which increased the general difficulty of the experience and also added “Mayhem gear” to enemy loot tables. This Titans review contains spoilers. Titans Episode 6 Titans has been a somewhat schizophrenic show through its first half, and “Jason Todd” does nothing to really dispel that impression. Among other things, it’s the second diversionary episode of the last three. We had the Doom Patrol backdoor pilot in episode 4 (which was great), followed by a “back on track” episode to get the team properly together, but here we are in episode six, allowing the team to take a backseat yet again for more of Dick Grayson’s story and the introduction of Jason Todd....

Tom Holland has arrived in Atlanta, Georgia, to begin production on Marvel Studios and Sony’s third Spider-Man film. The actor recently wrapped on the latter studio’s feature film adaptation of Uncharted, in which he portrays lead hero Nathan Drake. Holland first portrayed Spider-Man in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War, the result of a landmark deal between Disney and Sony that allowed for the wall-crawler to appear in MCU films. However, Holland’s Spider-Man was nearly excised from future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects when Disney and Sony failed to reach an agreement to continue the partnership in August 2019....

2020 was a big year for Nintendo, with it being one of the best financial years for the company in over a decade. With that said, the Switch didn’t get quite as many heavy-hitters this year as compared to previous ones, but there were still plenty of great new games for fans to sink their teeth into, both first party and third party titles alike. This year happened to be particularly port-heavy, but there’s nothing wrong with great games from older consoles making their way onto Nintendo’s hybrid console....

Better late than never, it appears the remaster of the N64 classic Turok may finally be coming to the PS4 after being released on the Xbox One two years ago, if a recent trophy list leak is to be believed. Originally released in 1997, Turok was a first-person shooter based on a dinosaur-hunting comic book character of the same name from 1954. The game was (naturally) about hunting dinosaurs from a place called the Lost Land in order to keep them from reaching planet Earth....

It is a pure tragedy that Twisted Metal has slipped away with the passage of time. The last Twisted Metal game came out in 2012, but it has not been forgotten. Debatably one of the most unique game franchises of all time, Twisted Metal combines driving, shooting, and terrifying clown villains into one beautiful nightmare of an experience. I’ve yet to play another game that has come close to the dark quirkiness of Twisted Metal, and the gaming world is lacking from its disappearance....

Falling in line with a list of Twitch streamers banned from the platform recently, UK League of Legends streamer Ali ‘Gross Gore’ Larsen has been banned from Twitch. Unlike the mysterious circumstances of former Twitch streamers, this ban comes a few days after a Reddit post gone wrong reignited tons of sexual harassment allegations from his past. Posting to the r/RoastMe subreddit, a Reddit made for commenters to humorously mock submitters, Larsen wrote “I’m a happy Twitch streamer, roast me....

Ubisoft reveals that it could delay one of its big game releases if COVID-19 affects its development. Ubisoft’s development teams, like those as Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED, have found themselves having to work from home as countries around the world report more cases of the illness. In a new financial report, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot featured a range of financial targets for the company to present its “estimate of the impact that these external factors could have if they were to actually materialize....

Ubisoft reveals the first Japanese Operator for the Rainbow Six Siege Operation Red Crow DLC, a defender named Echo who controls a flying drone. Ubisoft has had some trouble keeping leaks from popping up in regards to the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege season content, which will include two new Japanese operators and a highly vertical Skyscraper map as part of Operation Red Crow. Rainbow Six Siege fans already know that the Japanese operator DLC is due to get a full reveal during the Pro League finals next week, but today the studio has revealed more about the Japanese defender a little ahead of schedule....

PlayStation executive Herman Hulst posted a video of his cat enjoying Bugsnax the other day, but that’s not what viewers of the clip were interested in. One of the more difficult aspects of making video games is creating digital humans that look and feel real. It can take a tremendous amount of time, effort, skill, and money to make a single, lifelike digital human, not to mention the effort it takes to populate an entire digital world with them. The USAA recently hosted the annual C.O.D.E Bowl in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. During this competition, the United States Armed Forces and branches of the UK military battled it out in a round-based Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War tournament. Proceeds from the competition went towards the Call of Duty Endowment project, which places veterans in post-military careers that fully utilize their skill sets. While there were definite crowd favorites, the tournament took an unexpected turn, as an underdog team managed to win the tournament....

In Valheim, players will come across a variety of biomes, each one more dangerous than the last. But each Valheim biome has its own secrets and hidden locations. Rachell Hofstetter, who goes by the handle Valkyrae online, has capitalized on the social deduction game to become the fastest-growing and one of the most popular streamers worldwide. Social distancing and quarantining has kept many people inside, and video game sales and playing numbers have risen as a result....

Holiday-themed game modes have become a staple of multiplayer games during the end of the year, and Riot appears to have already prepared Valorant’s seasonal offering. Dataminers have found evidence of a snow-themed mode headed to the popular hero-shooter this winter. Valorant’s mix of tactical gunplay and magic-like abilities has evolved considerably since its June launch, with a growing community and lively competitive scene. The title just received patch 1.10, kicking off Act 3 with a new battle pass, level, quality-of-life improvements, and other features to keep gamers engaged....

After nearly two months of beta testing, VALORANT closed its servers at 9 a.m. PT Wednedsay in preparation for its official launch. The game will become available for everyone after June 2, though the exact time of launch has yet to be announced. All purchases and progress made in the beta will be reset, with the exception of in-game rewards players earned during the closed beta. Those rewards are account-bound and will carry over once the full game officially launches....

While the demands for a Half-Life 3 never really went away, the release of Half-Life: Alyx certainly renewed hope that Valve will someday make the game a reality. And though Valve’s founder and president Gabe Newell continues to not address it, he has confirmed that Valve is currently working on at least a couple of new games. During an interview with 1 News, Newell said that returning to make single-player games like Half-Life: Alyx created a lot of momentum to do more like it, which seems to imply that what Valve is working on will follow suit....

Valve employee and Steam Controller designer Erik Johnson reveals that the corporation wants gamers to modify their controllers, both on a software and hardware level. Valve has always been highly supportive of user modifications, allowing an entire hat-driven economy to rise via user input in Team Fortress 2, and supporting multiple Steam Workshops across countless of games through its Steam content distribution platform. It almost shouldn’t be surprising that this support for custom user content stretches down to Valve’s own hardware, but such a concept is just so fresh one can’t help but be a little surprised....

This Van Helsing review contains spoilers. Van Helsing Season 2 Episode 12 “You gotta hang onto hope. What else is there?” After a two week detour in which the bulk of the cast remained in the background, “Crooked Falls” takes a bold step toward clarifying the true nature of the vampire assault on the human race. Whether it’s time travel, zombies, or vampires, writers must establish a consistent set of rules whereby the characters live and die, and while Van Helsing has at times played fast and loose with those rules, tonight’s episode presents a new wrinkle regarding the ferals that could change everything....
