The Remote Play feature on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 is a neat function when it’s up and running correctly. You turn on the system, grab a supported device like a PS Vita, set up the game, enable the feature, and go. Play in another room (most likely the bathroom), down the street, garage or wherever, and players can enjoy their console games on their mobile devices. In some cases, Remote Play even works when users are a greater distance away from the console, but oftentimes lag is involved....

Runestones act as the windows into the lore of Valheim’s game world. They are eery and mysterious, offering insight into the tenth realm that was sundered from Yggdrasil so many ages passed. As of this writing and within the completed biomes of the early access version of the game, there are forty-three known runestones. Within the meadows biome, seven different runestones can spawn. Rumor has it that Valve’s “Steam Box” is set to be fully revealed sometime this year, likely at either March’s Game Developer’s Conference (GDC) or June’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Nevertheless, a torrent of “Steam Box” information has come from the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show, which runs through Friday, January 11th. For starters, the prototype “Piston” hardware, a modular mini-PC produced by Xi3 and designed to take advantage of Steam’s Big Picture Mode, made its debut at the show....

Earlier in February, developer Digital Extremes announced that a bunch of new content for Warframe, the free-to-play role-playing shooter, would be coming sometime during the month and again in the spring. Among that content would be Valentine’s Day and Lunar New Year events, as well as new Warframe content for Corpus Railjack and the Command intrinsic, which will allow players to control friendly NPC crew members. During Devstream 152 on February 26, the Warstream development team went into further detail about the planned spring content....

Watch Dogs: Legion is the newest installment to the hacker-themed franchise with some major improvements. One of the biggest changes allows players to recruit members to their DedSec team and take back London. What makes this feature more interesting is each character’s life. They function outside of being controlled by the player. This means that a player can run into one of their recruits while traversing London. It also means they can get in trouble....

Kingdom Hearts is a weird but successful mash of both Disney and Final Fantasy characters, but did you know there’s a small Space Invaders reference in KH3’s Caribbean world? Granted it’s not a direct space invader trying to take over the Caribbean, but one of the game’s flan missions is directly inspired by the classic 1978 arcade title. By the way, it makes sense that Square Enix owns the IP for Space Invaders for this to happen....

In a move that is sure to confuse more than a few gamers, THQ has announced that more DLC content is on the way for their alternate reality military shooter Homefront. According to THQ, Homefront’s ‘The Rock’ DLC will add two new multiplayer maps — one set within the confines of Alcatraz (hence the name ‘The Rock’) and another that takes place along the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge....

A Titanfall 2 player has revealed an insane method for utilizing the grapple hook mechanic. A Reddit user posted a video showing off a grapple hook strategy that got them banned in Titanfall 2’s competitive Capture the Flag modes. The first-person shooter by Respawn Entertainment combines fast-paced movement with hulking mech suits. Despite not reaching the heights of competitor FPS series like Call of Duty or Battlefield, the title has a dedicated community of fans....
