With another eventful week in esports, it seems as though the industry never takes a break. It’s official; VALORANT is releasing on June 2nd. With a launch date now set, Team Solo-Mid announced their acquisition of one of VALORANT’s most successful early rosters, mouseSpaz. Playing under the TSM brand, the group of ex CS:GO players will look to continue their success in upcoming tournaments. Cloud9, with the help of their cornerstone Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, won North America’s Elite Esports - Rivalry Bowl, while Ninjas in Pyjamas won Europe’s version of the tournament....

Respawn Entertainment is already hard at work making Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. New job listings indicate that Respawn is currently staffing up for development on Titanfall 3....

Ubisoft’s Yule Festival Contest is offering up a chance to win 6600 Helix Credits and The Art of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Art Book – all you have to snap a few in-game pictures. Undertale is an indie 2D RPG video game released on PC in September 2015, on PS4 (and PS Vita) in August 2017, on the Nintendo Switch in September 2018, and on Xbox One (and Xbox Series X/S) on March 16, 2021. Developed by Toby Fox, the game follows a child who has fallen into the Underground on his journey back to the surface. The player has the choice of whether or not to kill all the monsters they meet (or just some) or spare all of them (or just some)....

Vader Immortal is getting a special retail edition on PSVR this Spring. The announcement comes from the official Twitter page of the game’s developers, ILMxLAB, who announced that the retail edition will come from a collaboration with Perp Games. The special retail edition of the game is named as such because it comes with a variety of different bonuses, which were announced alongside the game’s release. Included with this version of the game are some exclusive postcards, a digital artbook, and behind-the-scenes footage....

Valheim is a sandbox-style, Viking-themed survival game with a huge map, tons of materials to collect, and even more things players can build. Both fortunately and unfortunately, this means that players will have to do a lot of inventory management, even after getting a Megingjord to expand carry weight. Interacting effectively with inventory means that players will have to use shortcuts in order to make such interactions as quick as possible....

The Valorant closed beta currently has ten Agents (characters) to choose from, with each of them being pretty unique from the others. They each fit into one of four classes: Duelist, Controller, Sentinel, and Initiator. Each character accomplishes their classes goals differently, meaning there’s definitely a bit to learn when it comes to using each of them. Jett is a duelist, and she is, without a doubt, the quickest character in the game....

Warner Brothers Games is no longer for sale because it was deemed “too valuable” by AT&T, according to a report from Bloomberg. AT&T is in the process of selling assets in an attempt to pay down its debt and streamline the massive international conglomerate. Several companies have expressed interest in acquiring WB Games if the price was set at $4 billion or lower. AT&T considered selling the studio for a while, which would have placed ownership of all of the assets in the hands of either, Microsoft, Take-Two Interactive, EA, or Activision-Blizzard....

The December 16th update was the biggest content drop since the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone. The update included a new (ish) map called Rebirth Island and thirty new guns. While the new content and guns were much needed, the update may have been premature. The integrated guns are completely different from the guns in Cold War’s multiplayer, and nearly all of them are ineffective in Warzone. The meta has shifted to a new gun, and it might be even worse than the R-9 fire shotgun....

In the relatively short amount of time it has existed, Fortnite has become so much more than just a video game. Ubisoft showed off a brand new trailer for Watch Dogs Legion’s Bloodlines, and confirmed that the DLC will be coming July 6. During the pre-show for the Ubisoft Forward showcase, Ubisoft showed a new trailer for Watch Dogs Legion, revealing a release date and showing off some new gameplay. The trailer shows Aiden Pearce arriving in London, where he’s been contracted by Jordi to break into Broca Tech. Aiden is shown running into his nephew Jackson, who was a key part of the first game’s narrative and is all grown up in this footage....
