Goodfellas is The Rolling Stones of crime movies. Criminals aren’t supposed to be allowed to reap the spoils of their crimes, but the Lufthansa Heist at Kennedy International Airport in 1978 made a lot more money than just the original $6 million ($20 mil if you account for inflation), which is the biggest heist in American history. The Lufthansa heist has, so far, produced two made for TV movies, The 10 Million Dollar Getaway (which I’ve never seen) and The Big Heist (with all its Donald Sutherland Irish accent mashup glory)....

With the upcoming release of The Sims 4: Journey To Batuu, the franchise is being taken in a brand new direction, crossing over with Star Wars for this game pack. The Suicide Squad is a project that partially thrives on highlighting lesser-known characters and casting non-traditional blockbuster actors to bring them to life. Co-op Viking survival game Valheim is the big title on Twitch right now. Although the game has been around in a pre-alpha state since 2018, it launched into early access on February 2, 2021. As an open-world survival title, players in Valheim have to craft tools, build shelters, and fight enemies to survive. Although it’s been less than two weeks since Valheim launched on Steam, the game has seen an incredible surge of popularity....

The Witcher 3 just got a new update on Switch. It might have been a year since CD Projekt’s mammoth RPG launched on Nintendo’s handheld, but the Polish developer is still supporting Geralt’s portable adventure. Cyberpunk 2077 and Back to the Future; it’s the mash-up no one knew they needed. Cyberpunk 2015 is what would happen if Cyberpunk 2077 was a Back to the Future Part 2 game, set in the futuristic, dystopian Hill Valley from “2015.” The parody trailer features the exact same soundtrack and narration from Cyberpunk 2077’s E3 2018 cinematic trailer, only with scenes from Back to the Future 2 in place of the visuals....

One easy way to establish this portfolio is to purchase existing IPs from other companies, which appears to be THQ Nordic’s plan, as it has acquired two more franchises to bolster its lineup. Amid the chaos of the recent announcement, some fans have questioned what will happen to those who have supported Dr. DisRespect, real name Herschel Beahm, through the Twitch platform. Just under a day after the announcement of Dr. DisRespect’s permaban from the platform, Twitch has confirmed that all subscriptions have been canceled and will be refunded....

The futuristic, crime-ridden, punk rocking, shoot-em-up RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has revealed its second cast member right behind Keanu Reeves: Twitch streamer CohhCarnage. Cyberpunk 2077 is coming this Fall, and it’s adding a plethora of characters along with CohhCarnage, as he announced on stream that he will appear as a character the players can interact with. “It’s not a big character but you get to interact with him, it’s very branching so you can do different lines with him and go different ways,” CohhCarnage said....

Sure, we’ve all been stuck inside with nowhere to go for the past year, and yeah, an online version of Super Mario Party would have made pandemic lockdowns way more enjoyable, but for some reason, Nintendo wasn’t about letting people play Mario Party online. Mario Party and Partner Party, the two primary game modes available, were designed to be played with friends on a couch, and Zoom Mario Parties were entirely outside of Nintendo’s consideration....

LucasFilm Games and Ubisoft have announced that Ubisoft’s Massive Studio will be developing a new Star Wars game, taking the gaming side of the franchise out of the exclusive hands of EA for the first time in seven years. Not much has been revealed about the project other than that the game is planned to be open-world and story-driven. If Star Wars fans are getting the opportunity to explore an open-world version of the galaxy, the new game shouldn’t just limit its playable races to the humans of the Star Wars universe, if it does contain playables as the open nature of the game suggests....

Ultimate Rivals: The Court is an upcoming arcade basketball game developed by Bit Fry Games for the Apple Arcade subscription service. The second in the Ultimate Rivals series, Ultimate Rivals: The Court is Bit Fry Games’ vision on what a classic arcade basketball game would look like in modern times, similar to its prior Hockey sports title, Ultimate Rivals: The Rink.
