Trials of Mana is a long game filled with things to see and enemies to fight in true JRPG fashion. However, even after the game concludes, there are still some bonus fights, one of which is a secret boss called Black Rabite. As indicated by its name, the Black Rabite takes on the shape of what looks like a black rabbit. The only differences are that it has no feet, its face is larger, and it has highly malicious intentions despite its cuddly appearance....

Last year, a phenomenon overtook game streaming website Twitch. This phenomenon was the concept of allowing thousands upon thousands of people play a game simultaneously using the chat service built into Twitch, an idea born as Twitch Plays Pokemon. Twitch Plays Pokemon was a ridiculous and epic adventure, with plenty of hilarious moments and memes coming from the experiment, such as a religious following for the Helix Fossil. Overall, Twitch Plays Pokemon was a success, with the players not only defeating Red, but eventually catching all of the 151 original Pokemon....

Life in the 21st century largely means that we find ourselves going from one screen to another, whether the screens are on a personal laptop, a phone, a TV, a work computer or an ATM. So, what better vision of the near future could there be than a video game in which the player uses an in-game smartphone to hack into the other in-game technology around them? That’s the premise of Watch Dogs, the forthcoming open-world game from Ubisoft that grants the player a frightening amount of control over the world around them - from traffic lights to cell phones, fuse boxes to ATMs, cars and security cameras - as they take on the role of Aiden Pearce, a hacker with a grudge, as well as a knack for clawing his way inside Chicago’s central operating system (ctOS) and making it work for him....

In the current world of gaming, major gaming studios without a presence in the MMO space are few and far between. Ubisoft Quebec, the studio largely behind both Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, has been noticeably absent from this aspect of gaming but that is about to end as the studio is now developing a big-budget ‘AAA MMO.’ The MMO space is a very popular target for studios and publishers alike, obviously with the popularity of World of Warcraft and the new kid on the block, BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic....

Ubisoft says there wlll be “no more DLC that you have to buy if you want to have the full experience” when it comes to the support of its games moving forward. Downloadable content, commonly called DLC, has become a regular part of the games industry, and can range from both good to bad. At the very best, DLC allows publishers and developers to continue to support a game and provide quality content to extend the life of an experience to players....

Naughty Dog reveals that its upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, may not end up being the final entry in the long-running series. While recently discussing Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Naughty Dog’s Director of Communications, Arne Meyer, recently revealed the possibility of continuing the series after wrapping up Nathan Drake’s story line. In the past, the studio behind Uncharted 4 has been quite open about tying up the remaining narrative threads for the action-adventure franchise’s popular protagonist....

The Minecraft Live event that took place at the beginning of October introduced us to the new copper ore. We were told that the developers took inspiration from the patinated copper roofs of Stockholm, Sweden — which is why copper will age in Minecraft. Soon after, we learned that you could freeze the age of copper, but we weren’t told how this would work. Thanks to a recent beta release for the game, we now know that bee’s wax will be the way to freeze time on Minecraft’s copper blocks....

The holiday season is once again in full swing, and with only two weeks left until Christmas, the rush for the best gifts is already on. For many, this includes a coveted Wii U, which seem to be disappearing from shelves as quickly as they arrive. On the software side of things, Valve has long been known for their Steam holiday sales, and ending the calendar year with a bang. While these events make for great holiday gifts, it seems Valve has an ace up their sleeve this year: confirmation of a Steam-powered home console, or Steam Box....

The game, simply entitled Job Simulator, is exactly what one might expect - gamers get to recreate blue collar jobs like cooking food and pouring beer, in a world where robots have replaced humanity for all jobs and make humans feel useful by letting them pretend to work. This game takes place in the not-so-distant future of 2050, so take from that what you will. Players will be tasked with frying up some great breakfast, making soup with the correct ingredients, and mastering the art that is sriracha sauce....

This Vikings review contains spoilers. Vikings Season 4 Episode 14 “I cannot kill you, yet you must die.” It’s been an amazing four-year run. As we’ve watched Ragnar Lothbrok regretfully age, both physically and emotionally, we always knew the time would come when we’d be forced to accept his death whatever the circumstances and decide whether or not Vikings could survive without him. However, “In the Uncertain Hour Before the Morning,” we’re not asked to come to terms with that quite yet, and instead this chapter resolves some long standing issues that require other deaths before Ragnar finally meets his own....

This was the thinking of Akihiko Kondo, who has married a hologram/plushie of Hatsune Miku - the Japanese virtual idol who became the star of a multimedia franchise. The Japanese Times reported that Akihiko Kondo spent over fifteen thousand dollars on a ceremony where he wed a doll of Hatsune Miku in front of forty guests....

Sometimes the most fun things to do in a battle royale game are the activities and missions outside of actually winning the game. Warzone has embraced these extra tasks and objectives ever since it launched, and Season 5 continues to add more content and objectives to work on aside from getting that first-place finish. One of the missions added in the middle of Season 4 of Warzone is the Hunting the Enemy mission which still has many players stumped due to the difficulty of it....

PlayStation has made this week’s Modern Warfare and Warzone season six update available to pre-load on PS4. As the world went into lockdown, people in desperate need of something to do turned to Tiger King. The trouble is, the docuseries is only seven episodes long. After that, a lot of people gave Warzone a whirl. The free-to-play Modern Warfare add-on launched earlier this year and has been a huge success. However, there will always be those who find something to complain about, even when a product is free....

Scottish actress Karen Gillan (Doctor Who, Guardians of the Galaxy) has shared her new short horror film via her twitter account. Gillan tweeted “Here is a link to a short horror film I wrote and directed called The Hoarding! I also show up for a brief little stint in the film. Turn the lights off and enjoy…” The Hoarding sees Gillan playing Hope, a cleaner joined by American Horror Story’s Jamie Brewer on her first job clearing out a house that once belonged to a hoarder....

Video games have shown hacking in a wide variety of methods, so Game Rant takes a look at some of the weirder ways games have visualized in-game hacking. As the years go by, players have experienced many action-packed scenarios where they must either quickly hack into some kind of console, or gain access to an electronically locked location. Many games opt for keyboard-quick typing animations or mobile hacking devices to allow players to enter these locations when the time is right, but other games try to stand out from the crowd....

The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos has been anticipated since the game’s first DLC, Peril on Gorgon. The Expansion Pass allowed players to pre-purchase Murder on Eridanos and play Peril on Gorgon in the meantime. Murder on Eridanos has now been out for a few days now and while it may not hit all the marks, it does hit the majority of them. Starting this DLC is very similar to the last, where players get prompted to do a certain action to begin the storyline....

The upcoming game pack for The Sims 4, titled “Journey To Batuu”, has been met with a huge amount of criticism due to its unique nature. It’s the first franchise cross-over we’ve seen, taking the iconic Galaxy’s Edge location from Star Wars and bringing it into The Sims 4, along with a handful of well-loved characters and some new and unique gameplay. The divisive pack has generated a huge amount of discourse online, much of it negative at this point, but is the hate deserved?...

HBO miniseries The Third Day has released its full trailer, proving that it has quite a lot to offer in addition to its headliners in Jude Law, Naomie Harris, Katherine Waterston and Emily Watson. Indeed, while we’ve already caught a teaser for the concept-driven drama, the latest clip is a fantastical barrage of intriguingly contrasting imagery of wonderment and terror. The series comes from creator/executive producer Dennis Kelly (Utopia, Pulling), who, joined by Dean O’Loughlin and Kit de Waal, scripted the series for directors Philippa Lowthorpe and Marc Munden....
