Not giving it the chance to properly wow you is the first mistake most people make. On January 26th, actor Chris Hemsworth took to Instagram to announce that Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder has officially started filming. The hotly anticipated film is finally beginning production in Sydney, Australia after a long delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Instagram post features multiple slides of Chris Hemsworth and Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi with a group of Indigenous Australian performers. The big trend in horror games over the last several years or so is to make something that apes titles like Amnesia. The conventional formula involves a game where your morally questionable protagonist is punished or judged for their past transgressions by being forced to wander around a gloomy, dark, confusing hellscape solving puzzles and searching for keys. Rapper Travis Scott is reportedly being sued by KontrolFreek, a gaming gear and controller accessories company, for copyright violations. According to Page Six, the company alleges that Scott’s company Cactus Jack “reproduced KontrolFreek’s copyright-protected” product images for their own use. The claim further states that Scott’s use of the images while streaming on Fortnite gave viewers the impression that the rapper and the company were collaborating. In May, KontrolFreek was contacted to see if they would be willing to “manufacture the Cactus Jack Thumbsticks for Defendants, at no cost....

Many video game companies reported record-high sales during the most recent fiscal quarter amid COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns. Square Enix saw spikes thanks to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but the company also said sales for Trials of Mana have “significantly surpassed our initial expectations” since the game released April 24. Announced during E3 2019, Trials of Mana is a HD remake of Seiken Densetsu 3, the originally Japan-only third title in the “Mana” series that garnered worldwide acclaim thanks to 1993’s Secret of Mana on the SNES....

Twitch chat has played Pokemon, attended weddings, and even beat a game as hard as Dark Souls, but streamer zerolove is taking things to a new level. The Twitch streamer will allow Twitch chat to cut his hair live on stream. Zerolove shared a brief teaser for the stream, which will take place later today on his Twitch channel. He showed a robotic arm with a razor attached to the end and then the device started to move....

After taking a day’s break from streaming on Twitch, OfflineTV member LilyPichu is hit with racist remarks from some viewers who were upset that they might miss out on the Rust drops. Receiving in-game item drops by watching Twitch streams is a new feature that started on January 7th following Rust’s surge in popularity. The current items are available until January 14th, though it’s expected that Rust will put a new set of items in rotation afterward....

Ubisoft is planning on punishing The Division players who took advantage of the Falcon Lost exploit, prompting a frustrated response from the community. According to a Ubisoft community manager, the team behind The Division is “looking into” ways to punish those who took advantage of an exploit found within the Falcon Lost Incursion. The exploit allowed players to bypass a significant amount of content in order to easily acquire the rewards....

About a week ago during Sony Interactive Entertainment’s press conference at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, Naughty Dog showcased its forthcoming action-adventure title Uncharted: The Lost Legacy with a story trailer. Now, the developer has decided to provide fans with an even closer look at the title by releasing an extended piece of footage that offers 10 minutes of actual gameplay highlighting some combat, environments, and even cutscenes from the title....

When Marvel released Endgame in 2019, it brought an end to some of Earth’s mightiest heroes and served as a finale to the first few phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, aka the Infinity Saga. But the MCU didn’t end with Endgame. Indie developer Deev Interactive is launching a mobile game that values music, communication, and creation. LightBreak is the story of Ava, a young woman trying to tell the story of her travels despite having lost her voice. After returning home from a long journey, Ava wants to tell her stories to her mother—but her mother is blind and Ava is left voiceless thanks to Mana, the Sorcerer King. This would seem like a hopeless situation if it weren’t for the fact that Ava can play a mean Saaz....

Valve’s official statement regarding the Steam Store technical issues on December 25 details the DoS attack and caching issues at the heart of the problem. Five days ago on December 25, Steam suffered technical issues that led to the entire service being taken offline. The scope of the issue was unclear at the time, but social media was abuzz with Steam users saying they had viewed or accessed the personal information of other users....

This guy makes the rest of us look bad by perfectly parachuting through a window and taking out two opponents in Call of Duty: Warzone. There are a lot of skills you need to master to be good in Call of Duty: Warzone. Shooting is obviously the big one, but sticking your drops is one that often gets overlooked. Being skilled with your parachute can mean the difference between landing in the perfect spot or dropping yourself in front of a prepared enemy and winding up in the Gulag faster than you can blink....

Watch Dogs Legion launched this past week on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. It was well-received, and might be the most in-demand game in the Watch Dogs franchise yet. It’s perhaps no surprise, then, that a new ESRB rating hints that Ubisoft could be planning to capitalize on that excitement by bringing Watch Dogs Complete Edition to the PS5 and Xbox Series X. This Complete Edition has been available for some time on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, bundling the full game with all of its DLC, including Bad Blood, Conspiracy!...

An official Twitter account for Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs game appears to suggest that an announcement about Watch Dogs 3 will be happening at E3 2019. Ubisoft will have a major presence at the games industry event, hosting its annual press conference, and Watch Dogs 3 could be one of the biggest announcements from the event.
