It’s hard to talk about the greatest role-playing games ever made without mentioning the absolute masterpiece that is The Witcher 3. The evolution of the franchise as a whole has been pretty tremendous, with the evolution between the gameplay of The Witcher and The Witcher 3 being truly astounding in every sense of the word. Everything from the gameplay to the graphics has been refined to a T. Characters are another strong point of The Witcher 3, with the game featuring perhaps the most important and memorable characters ever shown in the franchise....

Zack Snyder’s Justice League Deathstroke’s sword has a Halo emblem on it. Apparently, one of the weapon’s designers wanted to leave a reference to Ra’s al Ghul from DC Comics but ended up confused. A badge resembling two jagged blades was originally spotted by a visitor of the Justice League exhibition in Dallas, which was dedicated to the upcoming director’s cut edition for the movie. You can clearly see the mark on Death Stroke’s sword....

With a successful launch now behind them, the developers at Respawn Entertainment are wasting no time in keeping the flow of Titanfall content on its way to fans. The first DLC for the mech/pilot shooter comes in the form of the Titanfall Expedition Map Pack, bringing three new maps next month. Naughty Dog reveals the first multiplayer specific trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which shows off new mechanics and features including AI assist characters and power ups. During the Paris Games Week event, Sony gave a first look at footage for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s multiplayer mode, which was revealed to have been developed by team behind The Last of Us. While the trailer didn’t feature actual gameplay, the video did appear to be shot entirely in-engine and looks to continue the classic trend of pitting heroes versus villains....

On July 1, Netflix released the first six episodes of the streamer’s 12-part reboot of Unsolved Mysteries. While an official release date for the second half of the series has yet to be announced, fans are speculating that Unsolved Mysteries could return in October 2020. Created by John Cosgrove and Terry Dunn Meurer, Unsolved Mysteries began as a series of seven television specials before becoming a full series with the late Robert Stack as the host in October 1988....

Last month, it was announced that the state of Hawaii had begun an investigation into Star Wars Battlefront 2’s loot boxes. Democratic State Representative Chris Lee was incredibly critical of the business model and accused EA of creating a “Star Wars-themed casino.” But in a new YouTube video, Lee explains that more can be done than just investigate, as the United States lawmaker also proposes a ban on video games with loot boxes....

Iron Gate Studio’s single-player and co-op survival game Valheim has proven to be a major success in the month since its release in early access. According to Steam’s sales charts, Valheim has reached the milestone of five million sales in just four weeks and currently boasts an Overwhelmingly Positive review rating on the site. The world of Valheim is vast, with a variety of biomes to traverse, each with its own unique flora, fauna, enemies, and dungeons to explore....

Riot Games has confirmed that the development team for VALORANT is working to prevent players from repeatedly queuing into the same map over the course of their games. The news should come as a relief to all players, as being placed into the same map quickly becomes boring, and does not make for a positive, long-term experience to keep players happy and returning to the game. Joe Ziegler, the game director for VALORANT, made the announcement on Twitter on September 10....
