One of the best-reviewed games of the generation, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt surprised just about everyone when it came to Nintendo Switch. Wild Hunt has not had its last hurrah on the platform yet, however, at least if a new leak is to be believed. A massive game full of tiny details, Wild Hunt running on Nintendo Switch at all is an impressive feat. The Complete Edition, including both popular expansions for the game, was the version of the game that arrived on the Switch platform last year....

A few months ago, Electronic Arts made the decision to shutdown Maxis Emeryville, one of the most iconic studios in all of gaming. Maxis was responsible for classic titles such as SimCity and the mega hit The Sims, two franchises that achieved immeasurable success over the years. Unfortunately, the last two games by Maxis were very poorly received. The Sims 4 was lambasted for axing numerous features that had become standard for the franchise, and the 2013 release of SimCity was crippled by its forced and poorly implemented online infrastructure....

Travis Scott, the rapper best known for his singles Sicko Mode, Highest in the Room and Franchise, now has a new job at PlayStation. An announcement released on the PlayStation blog on Friday stated that Scott has joined the video game brand as a “strategic creative partner.” “Travis is an artist who is incredibly innovative, constantly surprising, and continues to push boundaries, very much like the PlayStation brand – so we think this is a perfect fit,” the blog post by PlayStation Worldwide Marketing Senior Vice President Eric Lembel stated....

Despite Twitch being far more strict when it comes to policing inappropriate content and delivering bans to streamers who abuse the site’s series of rules and regulations, it seems a number of controversial streamers still manage to remain on the platform in spite of making numerous mistakes. Twitch mainstay Alinity has been the subject of a lot of Twitch controversies as of late, seeing herself return to the service despite being banned numerous times, while streamers like Kaceytron have also been met with severe bans in recent months....

The Adventures in Moria scenario kits are finally available for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games. The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game was originally released in April 2011 by Fantasy Flight Games. It is a Living Card Game deck-building game, but unlike other tabletop games like Magic The Gathering that relies on blind starters and boosters, the expansion sets released for LotR:TCG are of fixed contents....

Ubisoft has apologized for the use of ableist language to describe a character in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The dialogue will be removed in an upcoming update. The next generation of console has arrived and with it, some brand new games. Spider-Man: Miles Morales will release on PS4 and PS5 tomorrow when Sony’s new console launches, and many have already had the chance to play Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on Xbox Series X and Series S....

Some cool rewards are coming to fans who own some classic Ubisoft titles, as the publisher announced it is unlocking all Ubisoft Club rewards for a long list of legacy games that are not migrating to Ubisoft Connect. Earlier today, Ubisoft announced a re-branding of its Ubisoft Club program where players could earn small bonuses in participating games. Special costumes, unique weapons and bonus missions were just a few of the many unlocks players could find in the program, including some cross game content such as Ghost Recon outfits in The Division or Assassin’s Creed Origins outfits in the Switch version of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag....

Last February, Ubisoft officially announced Assassin’s Creed 3 and it was therefore expected that the next installment in the annualized franchise would be unveiled at a similar time this year. We weren’t surprised then to see Ubisoft sending out invites to an Assassin’s Creed related media event, one that’s since been spoiled (again, like last year) via leaks from retailers. A photo of sketch art featuring the now-confirmed title of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag made its way through the media on Tuesday, followed by a leaked screenshot and a second photo of the reverse side of the poster, depicting a map that confirmed the Caribbean Islands setting in the year 1715 for the next Assassin adventure....

Ukyo Tachibana from Samurai Shodown is now available for a limited time in AFK Arena, the popular mobile game from Lilith Games celebrating its one-year anniversary campaign. The crossover is a bit of a surprise, but certainly a welcome one. The Dimensional Hero is, like most others who arrive in promotional events, free for seven days. Players who are looking to add the character permanently and acquire a full set of gear can do so for $49....

The first thing you might notice in Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2 trailer is the music. The familiar theme of the original, classic series, has been twisted into a cross between the themes to the film Halloween and The Exorcist. We can still make out the melody, but it is far more haunting in its new mix. The same can be said of the show. The new iteration Unsolved Mysteries is haunting and serious, avoiding some of the cheesier aspects which endeared viewers to the original, which began airing in 1987....

The US Military’s presence on Twitch has been a hotly debated topic, one that has even found its way to Congress via a bill introduced by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, which aimed to curb the Military’s recruitment efforts on the platform. While that bill was ultimately shot down, the situation has remained controversial. Now, US Navy Twitch training documents have been revealed through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. The documents, obtained by On the Media’s Micah Loewinger and shared on Twitter, reveal numerous talking points for the Navy’s streamers, and “Do’s and Don’ts” for addressing audiences....

There’s nothing more satisfying than giving your enemies a hearty kick in combat - a maneuver we would love to use in everyday life when confronted with something (or someone) displeasing. Valheim’s kick mechanic didn’t quite scratch that itch, but thanks to a new mod, those kicks are now lethal. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey - amongst many other titles - featured a combat technique that packed quite a kick, which was particularly effective when you sent enemies sailing off the edge of a building....

The Valorant closed beta currently has ten different characters to choose from, each of them fitting into one of four different roles: Initiator, Controller, Sentinel, and Duelist. Each character accomplishes the tasks expected of their role differently, making each character feel (and play) very unique. Sova is an Initiator, and he specializes in gathering intel on the enemy team and their locations, then capitalizing on that intel with a couple of different abilities....

Players itching to press their trigger fingers will delight in the new FPS action provided by Riot Games’ Valorant. In this tactical FPS, players get the same hero-based specializations of games such as Overwatch and Apex Legends. Additionally, Riot’s new FPS also has the tactical thrill of titles such as Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six: Siege. Unfortunately, new Valorant players might find it tricky to adjust their playstyles whenever they switch from one character to the next....

In Vampire: The Masquerade, the players take on the role of vampires who belong to different clans. A vampire’s clan determines everything from their supernatural abilities, their weaknesses, and even their standing in undead society. There are some people who learn of Vampire: The Masquerade through video games or through streaming shows. This kind of exposure to the lore means that these people will likely learn enough about the world to know what kind of character they want to play....
