According to a domain registration from the French game publisher Ubisoft, it’s possible the company is working on a brand new collection for Assassin’s Creed. Yesterday, NeoGAF user “ekim” came across Ubisoft’s registration for an Assassin’s Creed website with the domain name reading “assassinscreedcollection.com”, which could mean that the publisher has plans to put together another anthology of some kind for the action-adventure series. However, with Ubisoft having just registered for it on December 11, the Assassin’s Creed website in question has yet to go live, which only leaves room for speculation as to what it could mean....

In the fallout of several allegations of workplace misconduct and harassment, Ubisoft is taking several steps to reform its corporate structure to prevent further abuse. After several executives resigned for their role in the controversy, the developer also fired some of the alleged abusers and instituted company-wide changes to encourage change. While some Ubisoft staffers have said the company’s efforts are good first steps, many expressed concern that these first attempts at reform may fail to bring lasting change....

Fans of Valve’s collectible card game Artifact are finally getting some big news on the upcoming reboot. The developer recently released a ton of new info, including news of a single-player campaign. Valve posted the news on the game’s Steam page. There are a number of other interesting features, including changed initiative rules, a change to the Mana pool, and “more robust progression systems.” Artifact received mixed reviews, and many fans were unhappy with the game when it released in 2018....

Veteran video game developer Patricia Pizer has had a long career in the game industry, having worked at Disney, Harmonix, Infocom, THQ (recently reborn as THQ Nordic), Ubisoft, and more. Virtual Desktop on Oculus Quest now has official support for PCVR streaming. The band Sylvan Esso have just recreated one of their music videos entirely within the Animal Crossing: New Horizons universe. This is the first-ever music video to be created in-game in Animal Crossing, and it’s simply glorious. The American electronic pop duo’s music video for Ferris Wheel was filmed in real life in an empty amusement park, and was released in July this year.
