However, despite the increase in popularity over the years, controversy often follows in the company’s wake, often over its decision to ban users, and now it appears another streamer has been permanently banned but for different reasons....
In another chapter of Twitch bans, SayNoToRage has been banned from the streaming platform following several women coming forward with harassment allegations against him. In another upheaval of sexual harassment allegations in the gaming industry, several Twitch streamers found themselves in hot water multiple women came forward with stories and accusations of sexual harassment, misconduct, and assault. These personalities of alleged abusers not only include Twitch streamers, but also game developers, journalists, and YouTubers....
Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine were set to be major video game releases in early 2021, but that is no longer the case. Ubisoft has officially announced delays for the highly-anticipated Far Cry 6 and the Rainbow Six spin-off via a conference call, pointing to issues caused by COVID-19 as the reason for the delays. A transcript of the conference call posted by industry insider Daniel Ahmad highlights the delay announcement, with Ubisoft saying “production challenges caused by COVID-19” have caused the games to have their release dates moved....
Ubisoft reveals to investors that it will unveil a brand new IP in the week ahead of E3 2016, before showcasing the game at length during their conference at the event. E3 is only a month away, and we’re sure to hear all kinds of news about upcoming and as-yet-unrevealed projects from a whole host of development studios. However, Ubisoft has announced plans to unveil a new IP over the next few weeks, before the event takes over the Los Angeles Convention Center....
On April 30, Riot Games turned on Valorant’s ranked queues for the very first time. In less than four hours, Twitch streamer C9 TenZ had been placed in Valorant’s Immortal 1 ranked tier. He started the next day at Immortal 3, Valorant’s second-highest rank. Five hours after he started streaming, less than 30 hours after ranked launches, TenZ became North America’s first Valorant-ranked player. Valorant is Valorant’s highest rank, as frustrating as the naming might be....

Jeff Kaplan has announced that the Competitive Open Queue is moving from the Arcade to become a full game mode. The mode is the second most-played in South Korea, yet surprisingly played less in North America than the Mystery Heroes mode, something that the developers did not expect. This means that when Competitive Season 22 wraps up and 23 begins, players will be able to select the new cart for Competitive Play from the menu, choosing between Open Queue and the standard 2-2-2 composition....
Maneater from Tripwire Interactive was revealed at The Game Awards this past December and turned quite a few heads. Like a twisted new version of Ecco the Dolphin, Maneater put the player in the role of a bloodthirsty shark with the goal of creating as much carnage and destruction as possible.
