The first full patch since Riot’s vacation brings some much-needed changes to Valorant. Riot finally addresses the hit registration issue. Riot states, “We’ve had issues with hit registration clarity caused by players moving into hit VFX (i.e. a player crouches their head into the space of a body shot VFX), which caused confusion on where a shot landed. This change should make it clear where a shot hit, and where on the body, even if a character is moving....

The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority slams Valve over its Steam Summer Sale, stating that Valve’s pricing of Grand Theft Auto 5 intentionally misled customers. The Steam Summer Sale has become one of the PC gamer’s go-to periods to get must-have titles on the cheap, sometimes offering tremendous discounts on popular games. Unfortunately, it appears as though not every deal that Valve has offered is equal. According to the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority, the developer misled gamers over the pricing of Grand Theft Auto 5....

Ark 2 is in development, according to the trailer that was recently unveiled at The Game Awards. Vin Diesel was the guy to not only make the announcement but also starred in the five-minute trailer, saving a young girl from being eaten by a T-rex just before discovering some crazy futuristic technology. Besides starring in Ark 2, Vin Diesel is also set to appear in the Ark animated series that was announced at the same time....

Video game developer and publisher Wales interactive is taking advantage of the full motion video (FMV) format for its next game. I Saw Black Clouds was announced today, a psychological thriller game starring well-known actors that is due to release sometime in the first quarter of 2021. FMV games are those that benefit from live-action footage and typically feature interactive elements. FMV games are not always well-received, but a resurgence in cinematic gaming experiences over the last decade has seen the genre creep back to life, though not always with live-action elements....

Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 has an unused feature that would have swapped Waluigi’s model for Mario if he moved too far away from the camera. The Mario Kart series is best-known for the console and handheld games in the franchise. BioShock creator Ken Levine has revealed more secrets about his new project that promises to be interesting to say the least. The creator teased the very “hush hush” project when speaking at the GameLab 2020 event. The creator, designer and writer of the FPS steampunk franchise is currently working on a new project with publishers Take-Two, who in turn are planning a BioShock resurrection. Levine’s new project has been dubbed experimental while its ambiguity has been keeping fans of his work intrigued for a few years now....
