For the first time ever, video game submissions have been opened up to members of the broader gaming community for inclusion in the Tribeca Film Festival next year. Between now and January 2021, you will be able to submit a game you’ve been working on, with a chance that it could be chosen as an Official Selection to be featured in the Tribeca Film Festival 2021. Video games have been showcased and discussed at the Tribeca Film Festival since 2011, including triple-A games like League of Legends, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and God of War, as well as big indie titles like What Remains Of Edith Finch and Firewatch....

Twitch has revealed special spooky cheers for viewers to use while they’re watching their favorite streamers. Valve, makers of the game-selling platform Steam, have decided to allow creators to sell every kind of game one can imagine on its service. After several cases of consumer and developer backlash regarding controversial games, Valve found itself in an awkward position to clarify exactly what sort of game is appropriate to sell on Steam. Video game publisher and developer Ubisoft starts to bring the seamless multiplayer experience feature for its open world title Watch Dogs 2 back online. As many fans of Watch Dogs 2 were disappointed to learn just prior to the game’s official launch, Ubisoft decided to disable the seamless multiplayer mode one day before the title released in order to rectify multiple issues with the feature. Now, following the company’s assurance to eventually incorporate the much-desired aspect of the game back online after promising to find a fix, it seems as if the open world hacking adventure title is slowly but surely having the feature enabled across its multiple platforms....

When director Ishiro Honda made Gojira (1954), his darkly poetic and somber parable about Japanese history and the nightmarish dangers posed by nuclear weapons, it’s probable he had no clue whatsoever the film would spawn even one sequel, let alone 27 of the damn things.
